Thread: Terrain Negotiation Cap?

As I understand, 0-50 counts towards walking/running and 51-100 benefits crawl speed. Is there any benefit to +100 terrain negotiation? If so, does it affect walking or crawling speed?

As far as i can tell it caps at 100 so its pointless to go any higher.

though a good CA or AA does well on the trade forums by what i hear. for all of those non master scouts ect.

I wouldn't know really. A ranger squad leader would have a tn of above a 100, do they get higher crawl/walk speed??
I'm still hoping that it isn't capped, and that i can with +25 attachments crawl as fast as someone else can burst run

Standing outside Eisley one afternoon waiting on my partner loading from space. Up wanders a novice marksman in full comp, with a cdef pistol. "dool me n00b".... ah, yes, a live specimen of Muppetus Turdicus. Oh lookit, he's got master marks and master scout in his bio, and he hates jedi cos they killed his puppies. Seem tohave left him with some sort of spelling disorder too.

"nah, tell you what, I'll race you from here to the cantina. First one in the back room gets to choose whether we duel or not..."

A bit of bickering and name calling later, we both hit the dirt.

"GO!!"

and they're off, across the plaza, right turn at the Artisan Trainer, straight on to the Entertainer Trainer, quick dogleg and head for the back door, sharp left round the Planetary Record Keepers and into the 'tina by the back door. Down the stairs, behind the bar, and I'm in the back room....

Matey is somewhere out at the front of the 'tina cursing me like a drunken sailor on The Hard.

He's now up and running, I've accepted his outstanding duel challenge, necked some food and drink and he come burst tunning into the back room and face to face with a sliced DXR. He's still trying to change weapons and getting his thumbs and fingers mixed up.

It wasn't a fair fight. Dizzied, stunned and bleeding the poor so and so was still stuck on burst run and totally freaking out at me for fighting dirty... It seemed a kindness to put him out of his misery.

Moral of the story? Never trust somebody with "merchant" above his head, he might just be a mean old FS ranger having a bad hair day...

I don't notice any difference between 95 TN (Master Ranger) and 155 TN (Master Ranger in a group led by a Master Squad Leader--i.e. when I make a group). I haven't tested it all that fully, though. I have taken people with around +50 TN in my group and they seem to crawl as fast as I do and I don't seem to run any faster than anyone else. But there might be a difference over a really long distance or something.

Master Ranger has +95 terrain negotiation so maybe a +5 terrain negotiation (has anyone ever seen this skill mod on armor attachments?) would make one crawl 10% faster.
