No it's because they are both herbavores from dant, because their from the same planet they tend to drop the same type of meat, just realy depends on quantity taken from each species

I don't think so. Picketts have always dropped "Ileo" every time i've ever hunted them in the last month. Just today they started dropping "Ory" like the bols do. Maybe it's just me, i'll try logging on and off. thanks.

Personely It sounds like a resource shift has taken place but from past experience it's rare (though not unheard of) u see more than one type of resoucre type on a planet. I haven't been on hunting today, been working since 11am and got roughtly under 2 hrs to go (yes a boring 12 hr shift). Mind you I haven't hunted Piklets or bol in awhile, so it might be the case, Though if your talking about the hide thats another story totaly. Bols are leathery hide's while piklets are scaley

Logging on and off won't help. The system is working , you just experienced a resource shift i believe. And they would drop the same meat because they are both herbivores.

Does that mean i'll never be able to harvest "Ileo" meat again? I have an md that pays alot for it, i'd hate to lose my best source of income.

hehe, and to answer your question jcecil, the old resource is gone. Sometimes it shifts better , sometimes worse. Its kinda like roulette

Actualy it's something I've sometimes wondered wither resources would return, I suppose it all has to do with timing, or the random change in resources, but thats one good thing about our profession, it's dynamicly changing allowing us to get out there and see what the situation is, I guess some resources from artstians work similar but we also share in the hunt, making our lives more interesting.....

It's pretty much the case with resources that 'when it's gone, it's gone'. Which is why the docs pay good monkey when the real nice stuff is on. Next week, it might be gone and they'll have nothing sweet to put in their buffs.
Works exactly the same with artisans resources (minerals, chemicals, etc). When a resource shifts out, buh-bye!
Net result, something good shifts in, there are harvesters (be they scout/rangers or deep crust mineral extractors) trying to get as much of it into the inventories of players as fast as they can.
(Some inorganic resources seem to stay the same for a long, long time, others, here today, gone tomorrow, or next week. Likewise organics)
DOn't worry though. Even though your current favourite sweet meat has gone puff, there's *almost* always going to be another similarly precious one shifting in. Might not be Dant Herb, might be Tat Avian tho...

Yeah, guess that's not a bad way of keeping the game fresh and interesting. I was getting sick of hunting Pickett's anyway, but i was getting so good at it, darn. Sure was nice being able to earn half a mil on one buff though. Que sara, sara. (sp?)

Why are Dantooine pickets dropping "Ory" meat, which is usually what bols drop? Is it some glitch?
