Seems everyone grinding their way to Bounty Hunter is hogging all the scouting xp eh? Sure it is nothing you haven't heard before. Sigh, trying to find something fun in this game that is without too much aggravation. If I don't find it soon gonna have to move on.

I'm forced to solo right now because it seems like 75% of the people I end up grouping with "need scouting xp for Bounty Hunter". Great.

Now, I'm forced to solo to get any decent amount of Scouting XP whatsoever.....but wait....if I solo, I can barely kill a yellow-con beast without getting incapped. So I guess I'm stuck at getting 1 out of every 5 or 6 harvests.

You do know that if you chain kill blues solo you'll earn more exp?

1 Gorg = 49ish scout exp
1 Feral Bantha = 133 Scout exp

I know for a fact I can wipe out 5-6 times as many gorgs (and this is a low estimate) in the same amount of time as I can wipe out a Bantha.

Do the math, fighting the bigger creatures isn't going to get you faster exp, it just seems that way when you get a LOT of it at one time. This game, as with every other MMOG, you can net more exp chaining easy kills than you will fighting harder ones.

I soloed almost every bit of my Scout Exp, and for the same reasons you guys are, fighting for harvests was a complete PITA. If they ever add back in the multiple players harvesting from the same corpse, that will help a lot, so will adding the group harvest/loot/etc messages.

I'm just letting you know that you can earn EXP faster by killing blues. If you're after money, then you need to get a group that will let you harvest as you can bring in more hide/meat/bone per kill faster in a group than solo.

All I do is solo. I haven't been in a group since the first day I started playing. Now, I'm almost complete on all my Ranger trees (except survival of course... bleah!) Blues are my bread and butter. If I find a diseased vrelt lair, I'll take the time to completely wipe it out... once you start damaging their lair, it's hard to stem the flow of vrelts coming out of it... Not exactly great for combat xp, but that scouting xp really starts to add up once you've taken out a few dozen blues.

I like to solo sharnaff bulls. They are iffy and you can get incapped quite a bit but with my novice carbineer skills here is what I get.

2200 weapon xp per kill.

450 trapping xp per trap. Throw 3 traps (adhesive mesh, phar dart, glow wire trap) and boom 1500 trapping xp.

Not sure how much scouting xp but I got 107 hides from one of them jokers when I killed him once. . . not too shabby.

Lets not forget the Creature Handlers, Squad Leaders and Bio-Engineers.

But realy, scouting XP solo is very easy. Though it does depend on you combat ability. Like Combat XP, your best bet is killing a lot of Blues. What is realy great is when you find a spot with three lairs of Blue creatures. Non-Stop harvesting.

i wish i could go for gorgs and such but they give me a mesly 1 exp .....so do mutant wamp rats and im almost their with scyks so im fored to take out the bigger( but not insane mobs) by myself
