Sorry I'm SURE this has been suggested before. I have to get back to work so I don't have time to search so forgive me if you don't want to hear it again.

I was thinking of some type of command to scatter a group aggro mobs. Ever wish you could target one creature and not have to deal with their 50 friends that attack you also?

Maybe some kind of /startle command or something. Makes all the other guys scatter so you can focus on the one creature you want. Kind of like a area affect warning shot that hits multiple creatures (for you non marksman warning shot is a shot that when it works causes a creature to turn tail and run from you).

Thoughts?

p.s Love the idea of of having a tracking tool that creates waypoints to mobs and the idea of lures. That would really make rangers worthwhile.

I'd like to start by saying I haven't visited these boards in a few weeks, so if someone else has come up with this idea, sorry I'm not trying to steal it.

I like the idea of being able to scatter a group of creatures by startling them. The only suggestion I have is that instead of some generic /startle command, there could be some kind of skill where you could learn the calls and sounds creatures make, and then you could use an "/imitate_creature" command to either startle or calm a creature.

For instance, if you learn to imitate the call of a krayt dragon, you could use the /imitate_creature command to scatter groups of creatures or maybe even npcs, kind of like Obi-Wan did to the sand people in ep 4. Or, you could learn to imitate the call of akreetle, and then use the /imitate_creature command to make a group of kreetles non-aggressive toward you. These are just a couple examples of how it could work.

Anyway, thats just my thoughts on it. Thanks for reading.
