Greetings gentlemen (and ladies), I must humbly ask your acceptance back into the kinship of rangers. After trying my hand at several other professions, I realize that I am meant to be a ranger. The wilderness is my home, and the hunt is my passion. While we may not be sought after, we can explore and thrive in places most people don't even care to go. I'm proud to return to this noble profession.

Seriously though, I tried a few other professions (albeit just dabbling, mind you), but none really grabbed my attention and interest the way ranger does. We may not have the most useful abilities, and we're certainly not "uber" by any means. I don't PvP, so it doesn't really matter to me anyway.

The simple fact is, I have the most fun playing this profession. While others cry about nerfs, I wander around in the wilderness finding all sorts of scenic views and collecting pelts for trade at the local bazaar. Admittedly, we do need a few skills to make us more unique (tracking?), but it doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.

It is with humble sincerity that I ask for your acceptance back into the fold.

Welcome back my friend ....

If your not up to speed on what's going on , let me fill ya in ....

Our correspondent has been working hard to get the broken things fixed and the needed things added . I won't bore everyone by posting them here , everyone seems to know them except for the Dev team . We have gotten some encouraging contact from the Devs within the last 48 hours . This feedback basically stated that the Devs were aware of our needs and we will not be ignored . It's been argued that this is a stalling tactict to keep us on a paying status , but I guess it depends on how you look at it . The fact is only time will tell if the Devs deeds match their words . As far as our end is concerned we still have the same classy mature base of Rangers in here that have always been here . We have been coming up with some excellent ideas that would help flesh out this threadbare " elite " profession . Our correspondent has been funneling them into his own private storage tank and feeding them to the Devs . I have absolute faith that our concerns will all be represented faithfully by Mineras , I am somewhat less enthusiastic about the Devs doing their half ... not because they don't want to or lack the talent , but simply because the writing on the wall says they may not have the resources to get these fixes in-game on a timetable that would make us happy .

So , it's a waiting game at this point . We are looking forward to getting the direct response from the Devs regarding our SPECIFIC top 6 issues within the Ranger class and the status of the changes ( if any ) and some sort of loose timetable to work with .

On a more casual note I enjoy the scout profession , which is really the only thing that is useful to me in the Ranger line . Dropped all my trapping and everything else , I have just kept the Wayfaring in case they make it better . I like wandering around the planets exploring as well , and it's nice to not have to run away in terror from all the red con aggro MOBs shuffling all over the place on the harder planets .

That's all the news that's fit to print and welcome back

Peace and good hunting all

Welcome back, Jon's post above sums things up very nicely, so no need to rehash.
