not sure is it was a bug or not, but when deploying a high tech camp (top ranger camp) I was able to pick up the datapad and leave the camp and it would stay until I disbanded it, this was one very unique feature and gave the top level ranger something to brag about, it was the ability to set up a small town in the middle of nowhere as a rally point, or fall back location, now if I leave the camp for any amount of time, POOF! "you have abandoned you camp"

so lets see:

ranger traps suck if they work at all.

maskscent is totally broke, I get no xp anymore for it.

creature knowledge is usless, what little we did know over others, now everyone gets in the datapad. not to mention the special attack columns are always "NONE"

Advanced foraging suppose to uncover an occasional rare item, never seen it happen.

and now our top in camps, are no better then any others, they are only used to call pets out.

and finally as I have engaged in more PVP. the ranger has absolutly no role at all, None, notta, zero...

so SOE, please tell us, where is the ranger headed, right now, they are no better then a master scout. I have to much scouting xp tied up to let it go, and I'm hoping since we are on the bottom of the barrel for usefullness, that there are some changes taken place.

I was ok when maskscent worked, and I was able to set up a semi-perm camp for hunting parties, with the hope traps would get fixed, but know I'm really starting to wonder if skill points would be better spent somewhere else.

Sorry for the vent, but at this point, what does a ranger have that a master scout does not, there is nothing that sets this "Elite (haha) profession" apart from any other, atleast the CH devs are posting WTH is going on and whats in the works, I guess we are just the red headed step child....
