Thread: New Ranger Business with our new skills:
Can everyone say, selling concealment? Think about what we'll be able to do now:
1) We can sell conceals to newbies or non-combatants who need to run to locations that they can't shuttle to like Wayfar on Tatooine.
2) We can hang out at the few outposts on Endor/Lok, etc and, once we have the compenents we need mind you, just hang out by the shuttleports selling conceals to adventurers who want to go out and explore the planet. A ranger with a ton of kits could easily make a good amount of money pretty quick...especially master rangers with high conceal levels.
Plus, we now have a market for ourselves and one that even scouts can participate in...selling rangers the components they need for conceal kits either on the bazaars or in person. It really opens a whole new ball game financially for us.

As much as I like the idea of having more money-making opportunities, I actually hope that /conceal is limited to other people in your own groups. From what I've seen of what medics and entertainers deal with (from both sides of the transaction), making money from services, as opposed to crafted goods, is a headache at best and a way to both lose money and get cussed at, at worst. Being able to dispense concealment to anyone and everyone will actually mean that rangers will STILL not be sought after for groups. People will instead mooch concealment off rangers in towns and then take off, not needing the ranger for the group any further. Worse yet, if the skill proves really effective, we'll eventually see afk ranger "conceal-bots" sitting around, being run off of second accounts. I had my fill of buffbots in DAoC.
