Ranger Archive

First, I loved the post and am very, very excited about it. It did, however, bring up a question that some may know the answer to.

When they implement these changes (in pieces it sounds like), will that affect already gained skill points/boxes?

I may reach Master Ranger within the next 2-3 weeks. I am currently working on level 4 of all boxes and personally don't grind or macro my way through it - so it takes me longer. Once the changes (yay) are placed into the game, will I keep Master Ranger or wherever I may be?

If I am almost up to the top level of a field that is being revamped (like wayfaring), do I lose those points and have to start over or do I automatically start at that level of rank?

If I reach master, do I keep master status with all the new goodies?


I am asking out of curiosity but I am also wondering if anyone else has thought of this. IMO I would love to keep my status of where I am, but I will not be able to get upset because they are meeting our needs for the class.

Sure, it would suck, but I could understand it. Thoughts?

If I were to take a guess (which is what anyone can do) you would keep all your skills. So you are 3.3.3.3 now then when the new patch comes out you'll still be 3.3.3.3 just with different skills.

(3.3.3.3 means 3 skills in each discipline so 3.0.3.3 would mean wayfairing 3, frontering 0, bioscience 3, trapping 3)

We better be able to keep the skills we have or you will see many unhappy Rangers ....I dont think they would make us go back. That is a huge penalty because of things they left out. I wouldnt worry about it.

No worries, you dont loose any skills. After the patch, when you log in, they will be renamed, that's all

Don't worry about it you'll just wake up with newoptions and a fixed class.

I went through lots of improvements / changes in dancer profession and never lost a single new skill or option.
