And due to the fact that we have little that is truly unique to us, I haven't really planned on doing more with the class than keeping Frontiering 4 (I can't help it, I LOVE the camps!).

However, before I drop all my skills, I want to make mastah ranjah.

Trapping XP is easy. Not too worried about it.

Camping XP I have already completed.

The scouting XP is where I'm hung up on. How can I get good scout XP? I remember someone once mentioned to me that going to the squill caves, masking scent and just running up and down would earn tons of Mask Scent XP... however, when I tried it, I constantly got aggroed and barely made any leeway at all.

After a week of hunting big game (Pikets,Voritors, etc.on Dantooine) I finally got enough for Wayfaring 4, but I still need tracking.... is there a better way than this?

Sounds like you have things covered....It took me a few months to master ranger, so a couple weeks in your case isn't too shabby. Only hints are mask and ride you vehicle around an aggro rich environment, of hunt the big game.

Hmm, scouting XP was super easy for me. Are you doing all this alone? Your best bet is to go to an adventure planet, kill big stuff, then skin it =)

Scouting xp has always been the easiest for me, and I've never "ground" it, becuase I hunt a lot. But if I was grinding it, I'd probably put mask scent on, grab my speeder, head to Dant or Endor, and try to do something useful like "gather 500 eggs" or "visit every POI", or something of that nature. The fact is that you gain an insane amount of scouting xp just speeding around big bad powerful critters, so that is probably the path or least resistence.

Mask Scent or Camo yourself and some friends and go to the Squill or Beetle caves on Tat and play hide and seek.

Well I'm in the exact opposite case as you.....have everything BUT camping. I just went hunting on dath with my guild, about 13 of us, all with enraged rancor missions.....at 1500xp each, 6 per lair....adds up pretty fast.

Hey, I actually did Master Ranger in about a week and half of work.. camping was the one tree that held me back so you are 75% on your way to master! Tips for scouting exp are these 1) if you can get a big group together, go after big game. Its fun and has the most scouting exp rewards. Good quarry are Slinking Voritor Hunters on Dantooine.. get a good group, get these Voritor Hunter missions on the terminals. (Note: ONLY get voritor hunter missions.. jungle voritors and others poison) These will give you about 957 exp PER harvest. If the group is good this will go REAL fast. If you are in a REALLY REALLY good group, go to Dathomir and get Enraged Rancor Missions.. each kill is aroung 1550 scouting exp per harvest!

If you cannot get a group together and want to get solo exp, then my suggestion is to go to the Dathomir outpost, go west for about 2500 m and youwill be in Rancor country. Find a place where you can make a lengthy 'loop' on your speederbike and have like 4 or 5 lairs. or just make waypoints of 5 rancor lairs near each other. /maskscent and just cruise around, you will figure out the best way to make this work when you are out there. You WILL lose maskscent alot, so make a macro to get off, /maskscent, and get back on your speederbike. the /mount command works for that. At first I thought it was pointless, but when you get in a good groove you will make 75-100k scouting exp in an hour no problem.

Hope this helps.

-Also, for Trapping... if you can get a MCH, have him 'tank' slinking voritor hunter, or other big game, and just toss in the traps. I did it solo, and I got 75k trapping exp in5-10 minutes. Think, 957 exp per trap, if you land 10 traps.. you get the picture

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if you go to Dathomir and make a basic camp abandon it right away and return to the outpost, you get 300 odd camping xp.

I didn't know this untill I had mastered camping, but it seems to me you could make20 camps an hour if you used a speeder to go out the minimum distance to make a camp and ride right back again.

Actually i combine the two. Go to Yavin (or another bad ass planet). Set up a camp, then set a waypoint to it. Then do the mask.scent riding around thing, while returning to your camp each loop. You'll get the scouting xp, and normal camping xp (1k per 20 min or so).

Good idea

Stovocor...

how long are you away from your camp before it auto-disbands?

it auto disbands as soon as you return to the outpost, so depends on how far you are away and how long it takes you to get back, but if you're 1k away and do it on a speeder only about aminute
