I have no need for camouflage or the like, but personally being able to harvest more units would be a boon for my Ranger. Is this possible, if not I'd really appreciate some suggestions on what kind of bio-clothing to focus on purchasing.

im addicted to bio clothing. +16 camo/scent pants, jacket and shirt. Im all about steath, headshot, and concealshot. Armor? I don't need no stinking armor! 95% of the time, i never get attacked cause the mob doesnt know where i am. I am a VERY rare sight at a cantina, i could hunt all week and maybe have 16 battle fatigue tops.

Yeah, ditto on that, except hunting like that requires money for the food, drink, and drugs you need to keep the mind up.

Im a TK -Ranger. Im going to get hit, and normally hit hard. I have Melee and Stun defence in my coat, and a bandolier that gives my bonuses to intimidation and warcry. I also have some camo trousers that offer bonuses to mask scent, and I swap them around with shorts that offer bleeding resistances.

Optional for me. I rely more on 33% mind powerups for my rifle. Granted, harvesting for me will take a bit more time then someone who loads themsevles up on brandy. One of the main reasons i went to the style i did is because of the heavy encumbrance of armor. To wear armor, you have to be buffed. The mind cost is outragous. But i also have a problem spending 12K on buffs because i tend to hunt in the wild. I can't remember the last time i visited a mission terminal was. SO to that end, id be spending more money on buffs than its worth. To solve the problem, i went to bio wear/ rifle/ camoflauge. I still hunt natural spawns, and the most money i spend is on a factory crate of ranged powerups, and the shuttle ticket.

I know.. im old fashioned. heheh.

I wish i had an edit button.
I just wanted to add, that i am successful in my approach. I tend to work the same areas and get a good feel for what spawns and where. In the last 3 weeks ive probably made over 2 million in harvest. Most of what i hunted doesnt appear in the mission terminal for me, so i just hoofed it. So ya.. BIO-WEAR! I learned it, and i love it! )

Now for someone whos style and appraoch isn't like mine, biowear might not be as a great alternative as it is for me, YMMV.

Here ya go, taken from Bio-Engineer FAQ on their class forum, written by NancyJ:

"There are 8 different classes of Clothing Tissues each with a higher level and a lower level version. The 8 classes are: intimadation/warcry, injury treatment/wound treatment, bleed defense, stun defense/melee defense, cover, maskcent/camoflauge, taming wild creatures/taming viscious creatures, and dancer/musician wound healing."

Those are the only BE made clothing items. They are used in the actual making of the clothes, so you can always get additional skill tapes for clothing sockets.

What I do, defense wise, and your best bet, is to wear your comp. Then pop on a shirt with stun/melee defense. A bandolier with intimidation/warcry, and a belt with bleed defense. This would be best for pvp combat of course. I usually have mask/camo shirt, stun/melee def belt, and a bleed def desert crawler cloak, comp gloves, helm, boots, and legs for fighting pve. (Of course knock out somehting for cover +'s for our riflemen rangers )

The bonus max out at +25, period. Game is bugged where it will show you +56 if you wear different clothing with same BE mods but your only getting +25. You can wear a hat and shirt to stack upto 25 though.

As I prepared to make the switch from BH to TKA, I made a few adjustments in my wardrobe and I know have 2 outfits: one for getting by creatures, and one for engaing.

I have a melee/stun shirt, a melee/stun bandoleer, an Aakuan robe (+10 poison resist) and a maskscent/camo pants set that matches (for engaging unarmored)

I also have a camo/maskscent pants, camo/maskscent bandoleer, camo maskscent jacket, and a shirt with +3 melee defense (skilltaped) for avoiding critters. plus I soak myself in Jawa beer when I wear this outfit. Yeah, I hit the cap way before the jawa beer could do anything, but what they hey...it's beer.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

I am so in need of some of this stuff. Anyone know the name of a good BE clothing maker on Kettemoor? Also a resonable supplier for the Harvesting food?

Thanks

Kalaf
