Imperial News Holonet: This Just in!

Due to pollution fallout in the Yavin system after a Rebel terrorist strike, environmental activist are calling for a clean-up of the system. The Yavin system is now closed to hunters and other travelers. Only environmental clean-up teams are allowed in the system. These team are to be lead by environmental experts know as Rangers. Also to help keep down pollution speeder traffic as been outlawed until further notice.

Only with your help can the Yavin system be return to what it once was. Do you part now by signing up with a Ranger Environmental Clean-up Team today!

Yes only in our dreams (well my dreams) would something like this happen, but thing of the theme park that something like this could make. Yes this is just like the Ranger only zone but with a theme. That and I was just looking for something new to talk about.

hehe cool, just dont blame it on the rebels. Blame it on the imperial genetic research testing.

VIVA LA REBELLION!

Would be cool as an event for a week or sumet, the devs could use a system that turns all animals on that planet into mutated creatures then simply turn it off once the 'environmental' problems are sorted. How about this:

The outposts are 'locked down' meaning no players can exit the outpost unless in group with a ranger. The creatures are much much tougher. Players can fly to the planet too however still be locked down in the outpost.

The creatures would drop a certain 'mutant cell sample'as loot occasionally (rare). The player would return to the outpost, visit the npc who would take the sample and convert it to a loot item called 'DNA Sample' and gives you a'Mutant HunterCertificate' (non tradable) in your inventory.

The DNA Sample must then be given to a Bio Engineer to complete their part of the event. They must collect10 types of DNA samplesfrom the mutated animals around the planet and then visit the npc at which pointhe/she will be told to add them to the mobile bio generator located in the outpost. Upon doing this the Bio Engineer is given a'Biogenetesist Cetificate' (non tradable) and a'Bio Filter'.The BE's must then give these filters to the artisans to complete the event.

At the same time artisans will be required to 'set up' (adding certainresourcesusing the terminals) 'Planetary Scrubbers' located in the outpost. When the scrubbers are completed the artisans recieve an 'Environmental Engineer Certificate' (non tradable) and must add the Bio Filters. Once these are added the scrubbers become operational and the environment will no longer 'spawn' mutated creatures. The planet will be saved and there will be much rejoycing hehe

All the players who have taken part and recieveda certificate ofany type will then need to revisit the npcwho will thank them on behalf of theImperial Environmental Agency for helping out and give them a badge, the: Environmental Disaster Badge: Has helped the IEAin saving the planetyavin from certain environmentaldisaster.

Obviously this event can be held on various planets such as dath, endor and yavin, possibly even dath. It would have to be done on non housing planets because people would be restricted from getting out of the town/outpost. The badges would vary depending on what planet it was on with a couple of conversation text changes here and there.

System mechanics:

Would require 2000 completed DNA Sample Quests (Hunters)

Would require 250 completed Filter Quests (BEs)

Would require 250 completed construction quests (Artisans)

Once numbers are completed event will stop and players able to recieve event badge.

This is what I was hoping to get started,a list of themes that something like this could include. You would want to make sure that you included as many other professions in the group as possable. I was thinking of the DNA testing and maybe bring back creature samples, but i sure do like the idea of the 'Planetary Scrubbers'.

On a side note of course the rebels are to blame, if they had just let the Deathstar blow-up Yavin 4 there never would have been all this fallout.

Let Novice Ranger(After all they are a Ranger)lead groups in but they would have to be smaller groups as well as get the smaller missions. RP wise, we do not want a Novice running off and getting to big of a group killed.

Novice Ranger - 3 person Groups

Wayfaring 2 -4 person Groups

Wayfaring 4 - 5 person Groups

Master Ranger - 6+

As far as who did it, its all in the eyes of the story teller.

Wow, seriously cool idea. This sounds to me like a new story arch (mini story arch) possibly. "find out which side caused the pollution on yavin" add a few quests for the factions ordering them to find clues on yavin by sampling the flora and fauna on the planet. The faction which brings back the most samples (analized by your local BE) wins.

Question is what level rangers? Perhaps 'wayfarers's only? Since most people have that 15-20 points left over, soon as this would come out people would drop say medic filler and just pop on novice ranger and 'lead' groups out, when over and done with just redo medic (probably with left over pts they have accumalated over time in seconds....

This who's fault it is lol will drive us back to the chicken and egg, given enough time

Thats whats cool about it hehe.

The rebels say the imperials did it, the imperials say the rebel terrorists did it haha.

Wayfarer or perhaps novice ranger sounds cool. I wouldnt want to limit people access to the planet too much, just make them feel restricted some what.

True, sorry for my lapse of ranger selfishness lol. Novice Ranger is enough, you'd still have to be master scout to get novice ranger and most people aren't. Not even BH's anymore =)
