Thread: Force XP thru Trapping?

I was looking at some posts in the Force Sensitive forum and saw the one about grinding xp. If trapping xp transfers at a rate of 25:1 and we max at 160k, then we get 6400 xp per trapping xp cap. As I have just went glowy but haven't received my visit yet I'm unsure on the Force Xp requirement for the total Survival Branch. I calculated 41k xp from a character builder site. Is this correct?


If it is correct thenwe should only have to cap our trapping xp 6.4 times to finish the branch.This means 80 successful throws on an enraged rancor which give 2k per hit.That is easy as $@#!. U could do that on one enraged rancor nest and possibly on one rancor. The only thing would be getting the resources to make that many traps and finding a tank so u can throw the traps (this could be in form of a pet, a nice friend or yourself with buffs and armor). Assuming u use wire mesh traps at 3 hide and 3 bone (I think that is right, im not in game atm)per 5 charges with 25 traps per crate (i'm not crafting those by hand), then that is:




80 throws / 5 charges per trap=16 traps


Accounting for missed throws I will just say that a full crate of 25 traps will be a guaranteed trapping xp max, so:


25 traps* 3 resources per trap= 75


1 crate = 75 hide + 75 bone


(Let's round the total number of times needed to max trapping xp to 7.0 so:


7 * 75 resources per crate = 525


525 hide + 525 bone = All the resources needed to max the Survival Branch thru traps


I'm sure my calculations are wrong somewhere because this is too (in case devs are watching).

Well, the error is in the 41k xp for the whole survival branch. First off, you can't use trapping xp to get the survival branch (yes, I agree it's stupid). Second, it's over 1 million xp to finish the branch.

trapping and scout xp converts to Force Sences xp points i.e. crafting and medic bonuses .


hunting voritars on dant i get 989 trap xp for each effective hit using sonic pulse orflash bomb traps . It is very easy to max out on traps xp 160,000 very fast ,i.e. in less that 2 hours . then its a labourious trip to the fs village on dath to trade in my traps xp . then another 2 hours to cap out my traps xp then back to the village to convert once again - yawn .


based on the following maths with traps converting at 15 to 1


15 million scout traps xp = 1 million sences xp = 1 complete block of 4 in the force senses branch


scout traps caps out at 160,000


15 million divided by 160,000 = 94 round trips to the FS village .


if you want all 4sences ,in the sences tree (16 boxes )thats 376 round trips lol . bored yet ? Also the cost of travel , is over 1.5 million crerds


consider this , max out traps xp in 2 hours , round trip to village takes half an hour from dant , this means 25% of time is spent travelling to the village lol . what fun
