Does the harvesting rate go down in proportion to number of people in group or does it simply fall to a group level and then stay there?

I never liked that idea, BTW. Still don't.
And furthermore, with inflation the way it is, I'll bet Icould make a convincingarguement that the 60% rate limit should be considered for removal.

Thanks guys. In theory it means that big groups should be very profitable. Tried a 7 man group tonight and it was more like being an admin person than ranger becasue the internet being what it is, people keep disconnecting, having wives ask to use the PC, etc.

This game doesn't really present a lot of incentives to group. Almost any mob or lair can be handled solo by a sufficiently skilled, buffed and armored combat person, and when's the last time you saw a group take a doctor out with them to heal during combat? Rangers are a support class, which means unless we also take up a combat profession (and pretty much *only* that, maybe novice medic) in addition to our Rangering, we have to group if we want to harvest--and harvest is the best thing we've got going for us.
But the 40% hit just provides a disincentive for us to group.
So... It's sort of saying, "Let's make you a support class, but then penalize you for supporting a group."
Luckily, I'm also a TKM and buffs abound, so until that combat revamp, I'm going to be soloing my little buns off.
