Thread: So What is so Great About Being a Ranger?

I just started a second character and was looking at Ranger. I guess there are significant movement and terrain negotiating benefits, but ultimately why?

Ome thing that I didn't understand is the ability to find stuff on corpses. Aparently you folks can get more hides and such than anyone else, but what about NPCs? Do some skills in theis class offer up the ability to get improved drops from NPCs? If so, what skills do this and how do you feel about this ability? Is it fantastic? Or is it simply a mnior bonus. Or am I completely mistaken on this point?

Thanks.

I suggest you read the designers response and look at what Rangers will be in the near future

Probably I will be etiquetted as a "troll", but ... did you read the dev feedback post ?

Or more : did you read the F...ing manual ?

(I'm joking after all ... I have no patience and I was making fun of you ... forgive me, I'm a **edit** )

Oh (darn edit button), BTW :

Your proposal to loot more from NPC it's useless in my opinion. We are hunter, but creature hunter. I don't think the community would be happy to loot more things from NPCs ... it's not something related to ranger's role, IMHO ...

So far the only good thing about being a ranger is the palace. Everyone knows you, and if you're the nice guy and heal people at your camp, everyone loves you.

This will soon change depending on the changes to be made. We will either be one of the mostcherished professions, or the most despised...only time will tell.
