Thread: Survival XP Macro?
Well, it would be easy enough for a moron like me to do, for it has been done. Craft like 20 camps or something, and stick them all in the hotkey bar. Macro would be like this right?
/uiaction toolbarSlot 00
/pause XXX
/disband camp
/uiaction toolbarSlot 01
/pause XXX
etc. etc. etc.
I just want to know how long would it take for a camp to get full xp with only one person in it? Obviously a VERY long time, but I'm only like 8 or 9 camps away from being able to make the 2nd best camp (which I think is really cool looking). LoL... errr... yeah. mhmm...
/pause 3060;
...thats 51 minutes. camps will auto disband after 50 min. I use it, love it, live, it mastered survival first... trapping second... that scouting xp is the pain.
if pauses are 1 second each then it would be 60 x 60 = 3600 for one hour? or err... hmm or is a /pause every .5 seconds?
I'm running in windowed mode. I dont know if that has anything to do with the /pause timing being jacked.
You don't need the pause in there. Just use a short pause at the end so it won'tloopall the time. I use 300. Basically it will just loop through each camp and if you currently have one set up it will just say something like you already have a camp elsewhere. Once the camp auto disbands you will get your exp and another will be set up right away. No need to worry about pause timing. I am pretty sure this has been posted before.

/pause 300; (just do this so the macro isn't in a constant loop)
/ui action toolbarSlot00; (Put your macro iconin the top row far left and click to start)
no offense, but why not just enjoy the game and take the levels as they come. Playing a Ranger is great fun. I know it will take forever and a day to level up the frontiering tree but I enjoy playing the game for what it is. In fact I have much more fun playing the game with the experience bars turned off.

You are correct unless you are an impatient **edit** like me who wants "Master Ranger" above his head ASAP.
I don't think I'm a grinder though... I do interact with others, do missions, harvest for other players, maintain my harvestors, fight NPC's, go on hunting trips. I have been to every planet at least 3 times.
I enjoy the scenery as it were.
Just let me know when you are finishing up Fronteering III after you've filled up all of your other boxes 2 weeks ago...
Point is, if played casually, and you do all the things I mentioned I do and just go with the flow...
The Fronteering line will go disproportionately slower than the rest of the skills, guaranteed. (wasn't true for me with the scouting survival branch though...) Macro camping is just a temporary fix to this imbalance.
The big update is supposed to address some of this imbalance and othercamp issues, we shall see.
Why not get your camp XP in the field? You will get much more that way then just running a macro and you will probably feel better about it too. You can also set up a camp just outside the city limits of a large city in the newbie areas and just have people come in and out for healing.
