Thread: Experimentation on traps?
You need a weapon/droid/generic crafting tool and you need to be standing next to a weapon/droid/generic station to experiment. The weapon/droid/generic station can be found in every city, some peoples house, or you can buy a droid that carries them. The crafting tool you will have to find via the bazzar or buy from any artasin. A generic crafting tool doesn't allow experimenting.
Heres the catch, I have tried experimenting on camps and traps. I have not seen any visiable difference. Its not like a weapon or piece of armor, you can the difference in the stats.Traps and tents don't have stats, so it not worth the time and effort right now.
Unless someone else can prove this statement to be wrong

Factorys make large quanties of one item from a single pattern. Patterns are made at a crafting station during the item creation process.
You can change durability during the experimentation phase, but I have never seen and difference out in the field. A modified trap/tent hade at a crafting station seems to have no difference then one made out in the field.

ok, whew.
resources are the key experimentation, beter the resources the more points you have to play with.

definately worth a read if you want to tinker.
My thoughts on experiment points is the beter the resorce the beter the product the more points you get to play with during the eperimenting phase.
the beter the artasin does have a impact, but I always believe it was was on sucess and failure rate of making the item. I don't think it effect the number of experiment points just the odd od makeing the item.
