Come on People area track is the greatest thing ever. I was needing 3 cowardly gurrecks to tame for some cash. I got to endor had no idea where to look. Used area track found CG baby 143m SW went there tamed it. Amazing wow ingenious i love it. Then saw on the radar gurreck baby which i wanted. Bam! found right where it sayed it would be. Thank you wise move on your part devs. You know u all love it.

Now if only it would stop picking up signs, mob corpses and other weird stuff I'd be happy with it.

It's amazing for group hunts, makes us very desirable.

The only real problem is that if you are in a very low traffic area it many times not show anything in the area and you can walk 50m and have a lair spawn in front of ya. Other than that problem it works great for what it does.

I'm happy with it despite it's faults. Faults, which I'm sure will be corrected in time and then I will be even happier with it.

just wait till you go dragon hunting with 50 people. when you track you get "list truncated", list of everyone in the group but no dragon

we killed about 3 juvy and 1 canyon krayt cuz of area track today

See everyone so far we all got up ranger for reasons i don't think any of us are sure of.

Now we realize that some good is coming out of it. Personally for taming creatures this is great. I have yet to use it in a group though, but from what ive heard it finds more group members than animals. Not sure about that yet, but then i can't track actual people yet. Oh well as soon as the things get wirked out there people will be flocking to find master ranger in there group which is great. Im finally needed for something than a tent.. Cheers I have so much incentive now to finish up ranger tree.

Tried to use it in the Krayt Graveyard to no luck. First of all the list truncating at 50 is fairly limiting. When each lair can have about 5 of the same critter guarding it, that can be about a max of 10 lairs to pick up.

What Everquest did (Much later in the game mind you) is put in tracking filters, so that you can choose to track by creature level, range ascending, range descending. If they added these filters in, the 50 limit wouldn't be too bad.

It needs a little work on the vendor/pet thing. You also shouldn't pick up yourself when tracking people. I also get some stuff that is just wierd and sometimes at negative distances. Those are all minor problems that should be fairly easily fixed. The only big problem I see was the above mentioned low traffic area tracking. Face it, most rangers like being out in the middle of nowhere, and there is a lot of nowhere to be in the middle of, and when you are, tracking is mostly worthless since stuff will spawn right in front of you that won't show up on track. Not sure how or if they can fix that though.
