Thread: Resource pattern?

Something wierd I noticed over the weekend...

Now that Rangers can make camo packs, we are required to gather SPECIFIC resources, as before we would just pull a generic metal out of the ground or just extract bones, hide, etc. from any creature to make camps and traps.

Gathering the resources for camo kits on Naboo yesterday, I was trying to get scaley hide from creatures and I could only get ONE unit from ANY creature ANYWHERE on the planet (they were all skinny). I thought this was very strange, and figured that if one creature of that type is skinny, then all on the planet are. This would be very wierd if true.

I logged in before work today and attacked a couple more creatures for scaley hide and got the normal 6-7 quantity of the resource.

Has any other Ranger/Scout ran across this pattern? Does SWG blanket an entire planet for a day on a specific resource? If so, that would be good to know sowe can quit wasting our time and just try again another day for that specific resource.

The one resource per harvest bug happens during a resource shift. When You encounter it, you should just harvest some other resource until your next visit. The bug usually last about 1 day.

Yes, *every* resource in the game shifts on a 5- 8 day cycle. Each resource is on its own timer.

I have noticed that shift as well and have to say it is the dumbest thing I have seen yet.

The availability of copper deep in the bowels of a certain pair of mountains runs low due to excessive mining.. okay.. I can buy that... But suddenly, chicken begins to taste less like chicken and more like sour rat? Yummy carnivore meat begins to be a bit too sweet so is no longer really a main course but more like a pastry ingredient!?!?!?

why would creature resources shift around like that?!?!?! S T U P I D !!!!

The organic resources type stays the same, it is only the name and the stats that change.

Look at it like a bad season for the creatures. Some seasons deer meat is poor or the hides mangy, becuase the weather is bad. That is the only way I can see it making any sense.

"Daddy, what's that bad man doing to my (Star Wars)?"

"Son, that bad man is (SOE), and he's **edit**ing your (Star Wars)."
