Ranger Archive

I know that Non Rangers can only use Camo kit if placed on them by a Ranger.

My question is this: Can a Wayfaring 1 or 2 Ranger buy a Camo Kit from a Wayfaring or Master Ranger for planets like Lok and Dath, and use them the way they would normally use a Kit for Corellia, or Tat?

I would like to try this out if I could, has anyone tried this yet?

Does not work for camps, I found out. I don't think it works for this ether, but I have not actually tested this.

This actually came up tonight... and of course we didn't test it, so I have no definitive answer! Aren't I helpful?!?! Sorry, I hope to test this in the next few days.

I do know that a Ranger with Wayfaring III can throw a High Tech Field Base Kit. I made fiftyto sell to aguy tonight, after letting himhave 2.

If I can remember I will post back on this when I hit master, and he has the ingredients. I just need another 20K of trapping... I could cry....

Actually some camps are makeable by lower level people. I think the first Ranger camp can be set up by a Master Scout, for example. You will notice that the descriptions for how much camping a camp takes changes as you look at the description of each skill block. Have no clue if this correlates to the new camo kits, as I've had a hell of a time finding the needed flora on the bazaar, and running around using medical forage and getting one flora per attempt and praying it is the right one isn't too appealing to me.

get to tatooine and find yourself some Greater Desert Womp Rats. Make sure you have a probot out. Attack Womp from 62m or so and run past the droid. When the womp gets up, order droid to attack. Now step back and throw every single trap you have the ability to make. I kid you not, I did all of Trapping in 2 days this way.

I appreciate all of your replies. I asked a higher Ranger I found in game, and he stated No.

If any of you do get a chance to test this I would appreciate it. I don't know any higher level Rangers that I see on a consistent basis, but I am planning on hitting the higher planets soon, and if this would work I would love to buy some kits from a Ranger on that planet. I posted the original message to this thread while waiting for the transport to Dantooine.
