Thread: New Ranger Questions

Currently i'm a Master Smugger/Merchant. I'm dropping smugger and going up the scout/ranger tree. I'm just curious, what weapons do you like to use? Pistols, Carbines, or Rifles? My Hunting buddies ingame like to use pistols...but they arn't rangers/scouts. What would be good for myself and good when i'm with them?

For Scouting and Ranger purposes all that matters is that you can kill stuff. Any elite combat profession works. As it is, the scouting and ranger skill trees don't do very much during the fight anyway (traps are almost useless on anything that might be considered hard). So the combat profession is really up to you. Since you already are a Smuggler, I would recommend looking into Pistoleer or TKA. Going up pistoleer when you already have Dirty Fighting (and probably quite a bit of pistol/combat xp stored up) should be quite easy.
