Thread: What animal drops the highest amount of hides

I have been harvesting meat now for a long time, and what to help out my crafting friends get hides. Quality and typeare unimportant, just want to be able to get as much as I can fast. Oh and yes I already know Krayt Dragons drop the most, but I want to be able to solo the beasts that I hunt. Any information will help out lots.

Those Rancors do a goodly amount. Does a Krayt have a harvest option?

You can harvest just about any animal. Right now, the only one that I know of that cannot be harvested is the "hostile thune mother". Goto swg.allakhazam.com and search the bestiary there. You can sort it by creature level and by planet. The higher the creature level, the more hides you can get.

The Krayt used to have a harvest option. Haven't found one in a while, though. Quite nice amount of resources too. But, if you want soloable, just go to Dath and start killing. Most stuff there drops a lot of hide.

Thanks for the input. Right after I made this post, I thought to myself that I bet Rancors drop lots of hides. I will go hunting them tonight. And for the Kraytdragons I looted about 20k of hidesoff of about 10 -15 dragonswhile at scout status. But this wasback in November so maybe you cant harvest them anymore.

To my knowledge you can still harvest Kryat's but you can't take Kryat Missions. If you need lots of hide/meat/bone really fast get some friends together and group hunt rancors. In our guild this weeks holo-grinding special is BE so we need lots of meat. Between about 5-6 of us we have probably harvested around 180K in 2 days.
