I've heard varying reports on this. I believe the following formula should let you calculate the difference between what you will harvest with and without the veghash:

(1.0 + Harvest_Mod_with_veg/100)/(1.0 + base_Harvest_Mod/100)

So, if you are a normal Master Ranger (i.e. not Trandoshan) giving you a 100 harvest mod and you get +20 veghash, you should see about a 10% increase in your harvests. I can't guarantee that the above info is right but I hope it helps.

Well I figured i'd give it a try I bought a stack of 5 veghash that was +15.45 to creature havesting. I tried it out on pickets andwhen I harvest one without veghashI would get 110 stack of meat. With Veghash I would get 118-119 stack of meat....not a big difference...

10% with +15.x

20% with 30.X

Well, that's exactly in line with the formula given above (/cheer, more supporting evidence). An increase of 7.725%.

You have to keep in mind what your harvesting and what you will get in the long run. The stuff I use is +25% for 10 minutes. I don't use it on every harvest that would be silly. But I do use the heck out of it when I feel the time is right. I take orders for large amounts of meat or hide that the people do not care the OQ so I go to Dant and start killing mutants and enraged Rancors. I am sure you all know the harvest sizes of those, it does increase it by the 25% or on Kimo's on Lok. I also used it a ton when we had an extremely rare spawn of yavin wooley with unreal stats and I used it on every harvest. We also had a rare spawn of highstat Avian meat on Naboo and I used itthere. In a case like that even 5-10 more hides is worth it, at least to me. I don't buy mine I worked out a deal with a CHEF/BE for trade so I am not sure of the cost.

Get some BE enhanced versions of it, wait until right before you are going to harvest a large group of kills and eat it. rinse and repeat. At the end of the day you will see a huge difference in your counts.

Keep in mind that I only use ranger for fun, cash, and good trade items for things I want. Its not my primary profession is a support skill for me and I use it for that. The only thing I ever spend money on is weapons once in a long while, buffs, and misc items from the bazaar for kits.

Trandoshans get a harvesting bonus (I think so at least). Trandoshans are better than normal Master Rangers. I only mean it in the harvesting sense, though.

My tiny two creds: yes, regardless of price (although it's usually cheap) grab as much Veghash as you can. When grinding large orders, it is worth it.
