Lets say that there is an NPC on each planet that holds special information (resourceshifts)about the wildlife of creatures on the planet for example.
Yavin W.E.
"there isa famine among the avians on this planet" that can be interpreted as low quality avian meat on Yavin
Dathomir W.E.
"High levels of herbivores have resulted in large healthypreditors" that would mean that the carnavore meat would be at a high level
these experts would be like a spynet operatave is to a BH. any other ideas to expand on it im burned out.

Why? You can't go out and sample creatures to see what's dropping?

just a random idea. thought it might speed things up that way ppl wouldn't have to waste time hunting and killing a creaturethat might take awhile to find only to find out that the quality is low.

Ill get ripped on this im sure. but Master ranger useing survey droids. to sample wild life on planets.
tell it what and where. it would go scan the life form thet the resourse had and email to you that Avian is blah blahh quals. maybe just allow overall quals. so you have to go and check it for your self. as i say Master ranger only would be able to use this. make them work for it. lord knows i am.
Camping is the worst.

I would like to try limit as much as we can, mechanical aids (snigger)such as droid and everything like that inc tooletc.
It tends to move us further and furtheraway from master of the wilderness which i love the idea of.

Sort of like farming with moisture vaperator (SP) near a lake? like being ablte to make laser fences? with crafting stations? lord knows i alway bring my Laser fence and crafting stations with me to Yellowstone.
Was a thought. :-p Remeber lightsabers are verryold tech.

And yet another thought on this matter.
BHs need their lil snitches to help them, as mommy is not always there to lead the BH ot the mark. I have actually seen BHs lost in a city, never mind the wilderness. They can't go from point A to point B with a snitch, a droid, a glowing lite, and a flashlite.
Come on, what does it take to go out and drop some green/blues to see what is dropping? 5 mins to sample a planet?

But....waste time on hunting and killing a creature? It's what we do! lol 
Let us not turn this profession from hurt to just a grind job =P. Finding the high quality resources is most of the fun
