Thread: Looking for Help on Talus Fynocks and Gulgianaws?? Please read.. Looking for WP's for lots of them

Anyone know where the best place on talus is to find Fynocks or Gulginaws.. I would prefer Gulginaws because they have a lot more avian meat to harvest. Can you get missions for Gulginaws and if so where? Does anyone have some good WP's for either of these that just spawn?

They spawn all over. Imp base is where i start out. and head out and run into them on regular basis. Send me a tell ongame if im on ill head out with you. BTW thanks again for the quick Email the other nite in Bestine.

Im not giving away my dirty little secrets! Nuh uh!
But this much i'll say:
I dont even bother with the mission terminal, waste of time. Most of the avians you get out of there are low level, and only harvest small numbers. I perfer lairs that spawn Jungle Fynocks.
I have the best luck hunting, as if you would hunt in real life. That is to say, hunt near a water source, or things like that. FIrst, pick an area to learn. A wide area, do big wide circles in it. Follow the river banks, on both sides, and investigate any little gully's you find. I have more luck doing that, than just driving all over the place.
As lairs go, Look for 'MOUNDS. Thats where jungle fynocks will spawn, and never any other lair type. Some of the smaller rasps (some of which arent bad for harvest like Giga i think) will typically spawn from 'dead logs'. Dead logs in general you have to be wary of though, cause some argo predator types like to spawn from those as well. Earth mounds you can totally ignore, its freaking mites, every damn time without fail.
If you do find a good mound, WORK IT! Theres a cycle to it.
1. The intial spawn.
2.) then you'll have one or two respawns, maybe as many as 3 before they stop spawning.
3.) Tap the mound and flush out more. Works about a couple times.
4.) blow the mound up or not. Good Xp, but 60% of the time your going to get FIVE OR SIX Argo/deathblow frenzied Fynock guardians and queen. And they will chase you, FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME.
Personnaly im sick of bird hunting on talus, and honestly, i wish the meat would go ahead and change there so i can stop having a reason for hunting those damn birds.

Unfortunately you can't get Gulginaw missions. Actually, I'm not sure you can even get fynock or rasp missions, even without a weapon equipped. I might be wrong on that though, but I've never seen Gulginaw missions, even when I was in a 20 member solo group.
Gulginaws don't seem to have a set spawn location, but mountainous area seem to be the best places to find them... if even there.
It's kind of like Dalyrakes and Gulginaws on Corellia.. when I need them, I'll go weeks without finding one. But when I'm not looking for them, they're all over the place!

Im quite lucky as they seem to spawn just outside the city limits of the player city I live in. Mostly I just pick a start point, and a destination point, and run from one to the other areatracking as I go. Then I pick a new direction and do the same. Bound to run into them eventually.
