But seriously, I can only vouch for the moisture farmer, but I was able to track him. He looked like a standard moisture farmer on areatrack (I know this because there was a standard moisture farmer running around that same morning), but when I went to investigate, he was indeed the hero quest moisture farmer.

I believe they can be, but its a range thing I am getting the feel of from others. Spawns within 100m of proximity, so it would not come up on /ar no matter what, unless you were probably close enough to see him anyhow....perhaps?

Area tracked each and every one.
Fact is, the moisture farmer showed on /ar before he did on my overhead map, and he was within 150m.
The pirates were the hardest to find, lil' boogers hid from me.
The boar, 5 mins.
By far the easiest, the BH and crew. One shuttle stop. Anchorhead by the way.
Good luck - bring friends to play in the caves.

Same as mat.
I was lucky enough to find em all within a very short time period. Found farmer 3 times today too for friends.

excellent. thank you all for a clear, concise answer. and i've learned, that to achieve that, i must ask a clear, concise question and keep my suspicions to myself, lest i shall be belittled for my ignorance. a valuable lesson i'd say.
