I'm kinda new to this combat stuff (Main is an armorsmith)...

I'm trying to harvest wooly hides off of banthas.

The problem I've noticed is that when I target the lair and spam area attacks, the dead bodies pile up on top of each other. Particularly when the lair is on a slope, it can be very difficult to see everything and harvest. Is there an easy way to do it that I'm missing?

Currently, I click on the body and select harvest hide one body at a time. I looked into "harvestCorpse" as an option, but it randomly selects which resource type gets harvested. Is there a way to narrow the field a bit? ..."HarvestHide" command?

Also...is there a way to refresh the screen of harvested (empty) corpses so that I can see the un-harvested ones?

You mean, sort of like /harvest meat? Also, harvested corpses disappear faster than un-harvested (though not right away, so multiple people CAN harvest one corpse).

Ah...that helps.

I was trying to make the command line /harvestHide. I didn't realize I needed a space (/harvest hide)...cool.

Anyway...do you normally just stay on the lair with area attacks, or do you try tokite the targets so the corpses are in different spots?

Not sure if this will help, but if you hold Control+Shift and hit the Colon andthe apostrophe key, you can cycle through like the last 10 targets you had targeted. However since you were using area attack you most likely wouldn't have targeted those. I just try my best, there is usually a small margin in which you can target corpses that are underneath one another.

I usually don't use area attacks on a lair because I feel I get more critters out of a lair doing it wave by wave. I take out the critters surounding the lair, then I shot at tje lair one or two times and /peace immediatly. Then the next critters start to spawn one after the other. When these are dead I shoot at the lair until the lair is almost damaged 50%. Then the next critters start spawning. After these you can usually take out the lair until the end if your lucky you get some boss creatures just before the lair explodes.

This way you dont have that much critters on top of each other.

A mission lair usually has 3-4 critters a wave. Wild spawns have more critters a wave thats why i try to find wild ones whenever I can.

great tips...thanks for the advice

Too bad the corpse doesn't disappear when you skin it...kinda would make sense, but then would screw up group harvesting, I guess

If you do happen to get a mob of them on you though, just move away a few steps from where the last one dropped and spread them out that way. That's what I do.

Best advise is don;t create piles. move around a bit as you fight so they are spread out...

And don't sit on damp ground. Trust me, you'll thank me when you are older.
