I must admit I ended up using macros and paying 25000 to a noob to grind the last box of camping. But apart from that, I hit master swordsman and master ranger just by killing things and having people pay me tons of credits for hide and meat. No grind - just having a blast.

Thats the reason I am always puzzled when ppl ask for ranger to be fixed. Apart from the uselessness of camps, what's to fix?

well camping can be ahrd one, but i just fished, Rp'd and made all the traps i had to use fro the survival xp.. i dont consider that grinding

well personally i dont think that camps are useless... i have no medic skills what so ever, so camps do a nice job on my wounds when im out hunting. other than that camo kits and hawtpants could use a fix.. hmmmmm fix...

LOL... yup.. I'm doing the Jedi Quest but you know what? I'm not Grinding. I just go and do a Quest each Cycle. If I get it I get it. I've I don;t? So what I'll try again later. My goal currentlly isn;t to get Padi. It is to unlock ALL 24 trees. Then do the ones I feel like.

Yes it will mean dropping some ranger skills. I'm thinking trapping honestly. Heck I'll pay other rangers for traps if I really need them. But having Master Rifle and dropping some of trapping and the Master Ranger will let me do the 6 trees I decide to actually do.

See the thing is not to se it as a grind. I was doing a hunt this weekend after clearing my Scouting XP at the village on friday and just getting the last box that required rifle xp. So I went to Endor for meat and hide. Last night when I finished I checked my stats. I had aquired 900,000 rifle xp and 160,000 scout in just 2 days of hunting. No grinding. Just doing what we do while trying to also finish my Master RIfleman(oh also got almost 100k of Combat xp to but I need that for the skill).

All this had fun hunting solo and one round went out with guildmate that is a Master Doc TK Novice. We had a blast. No worring about xp it comes when it comes.

As most before me i bought this game over a year ago wanting to live the Star Wars life (stop laughing).I soon realised that wasnt going to happen any day soon.

So i thought, what to do? that question made me try most professions in the game, exept crafting proffesions, i HATE crafting.. and grinding for that matter. Hating grinding so much also killed any hope of me ever getting to wild a big ol' glow stick of my own

About 4 months ago or so i startet down the Ranger path.. after months of playing combat profs, and buff prices rasing from avarege 3k to todays 15-20k, I really wantet to do something out of the ordenay, unknown, exiting... and as i was bumping intoa 100 times the jedi than i was Rangers i thought.. hmmm might be worth a try and it was everyting i ever wantet!!I agree that Rangers need love from the devs and we are far from complete as a proffesion, but boy we have fun! FUN! finally a proffesion that doesnt need millons of credits to keep viable (oh and i crawl really really fast now :smileywink.

Then one day the devs droped a bomb on my head.. WE ARE GOING TO MAKE JEDI QUEST BASED!!.. To say the least i was ónce againg getting wet dreams about swinging my very own lollypop-hurt-stick!! the days went by and the jedi revemp fianlly came!! i was excitet! i was finally going to try something new, something out of the ordenary!!

/checkForceStatus = you feel a faint sence of the force.. bummer...

the following weeksi must say i had alot of fun!!.. doing themeparks, visiting POIs.. hunting, having fun.. and for once i almost felt like a Star Wars character..!

/checkFOrceStatus = you feel the force surging in you!.. YAY!... no!

first time i got to the village i was nealry pissing my pant from the exitement of going to try something new!!!... 10min after going into the village for the first time i was almost crying from the fact that i now had the longest GRIND in history ahead of me!! what the F***devs??? you just spend most part of 4months "taking away" the grinding from jedi, by putting in the biggest dullest grinding ever!

The only reason i still play this game is due to me being Ranger.. i love ranger.. i hate grinding! we Rangers get the best out of this game! FUN!

I really want to thank all of you fellow Rangers for just being the best dam community ever..now more than ever i apreciate being part of the rarets, funnest, coolest gang off people to grace this game!

Ok... I picked up on something..... you went to the village after feeling the force "surge" through you? I've been surging since day 2 after the revamp and I didn't think I could go to the village unless I was glowing and was visited by an old dude.... can I start down the path to ultimate camping?!!!!!!

lol.. I like that, "The uselessness of camping." Sounds like a great antagonist battlecry for rangers. With players on a constant abuse of buffing that would be true, if you are a gamecheat player who likes to play godmode until the game loses its glimmer from your eye. I believe that camps were made to make a ranger a key component to an effective anti-buffing group of hunters/factioners/guilders so that they would not have to run back to town in case somebody needed healing or a catina for their battlefatigue. Too true that it seems pointless in an economy controlled by PvPers. But where is the fun in that. I love making camps even if I am not graciating any visitors with my glorified versions of wilderness rest-stops. I play on a heavily populated server yet, other than my camp, I only see maybe one camp a week being utilized by anybody else. I liked healing my own wounds out in the wilderness because I am a core player who believes that using the composite armor is best effective in sakes of defense from running from high level creatures that administer death blows. Geesh, I use so many traps on creature that I have to open my inventory to refill the boxes and end up storing pieces of my armor anyways, due to my lack to control selection while combating. Just mine opinion.
