Thread: Survival XP grid
Has anyone made a grid of how much XP time you need to spend in each camp to reach its full XP while alone, and with various numbers of friends?
If not, anyone know how this could be done? It would be really useful. If so, could someone point me to it?
For me a Ranger level III camp takes 53 minutes to go poof when I am the only visitor and I have no injuries that need healing. I usually receive 1125 xp.

Pard,
This is a difficult - if not impossible - task, because there are so many variables that go into the amount of time that it takes to get the full amount of XP per camp.
Depending on the number of people who are in the camp, the number who visit, the amount of healing (both damage and wound), and the amount of time you sit in it, you'll gain differing amounts of XP.
On a general (and I mean VERY general) level, spending between 15-20 minutes in each camp should get you at least 1000 XP, which is the basis upon which I worked my way up the Frontiering ranks.

I think there are way too many variables to chart this accurately accurately. Example - 8 of us were on Dantooine. Pop up a field base - the medics were healing people, the entertainer was making a tune, two people were crafting, 1 person was messing with a pet - in 8 minutes I got 1200 change xp. Next camps - same group, different wounds, different heals, different crafts - 9 mins I got 1100 xp, next camp 7 mins 1200 again ... not complaining as the money was ok and the xp for the others was great, and hey, thats 3k of xp in survival in less than a half hour, what would normally take at least an hour.
I think that the number of visitors, total and wandering in and out, pets, healing, entertainers, crafting, surveys, sampling... the time of day, your shoe size, a random dice roll and the color of your socks all have something to do with the xp you get.

Who knows if he holds his tongue just right, he gets more XP....56k in survival, not waiting for the patch, keeping on keeeping on
i'm in a guild, i've been in a guild since pretty much the first week of class. one night there were quite a few people in our city so i asked them all if they could hang out with me to help gain some survial XP. we ended up spending about 3-4 hours just hanging out in camps having fun, watching some fireworks, laughing over pets tricks, eating some spices, everything just to have fun. and since the field-base kit has medical crafting stations some medics were making stims.
this was a great time, and because of it i got frontiering IV that night instead of over the next three days as i planned. so my suggestion on the grind, join a guild. they can be a great group of people that will help out when you need it.
