Thread: Question about High Tech Field Base
Hello fellow rangers,
Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else but I searched and couldn't find the answer.
Is the Food/Chem crafting station in High Tech Field Base Kit public or private? I am currently at Frontiering 3, working my way slowly towards the High Tech, but my doctor friend cannot produce his high level items (i.e. resuscitation kit) at a public station.
He is considering buying a medical droid now which would be quite dismaying to me as it would render my camps essentially useless 
Could someone please let me know? If it is private he is not going to buy a droid.

Yea, the basic scout camp will do fine, thank you. Nice and cheap.
In the Field Base Camp the crafting station appears but it only allows me to examin it, not operate it. Does it not become operational until one get's the High Tech camp? Or is it a bug.
It must be you. Field base and HT field base stations should work just fine.
The other point they were making is that some high end medical combines require a PRIVATE crafting station. In other words, you have to go to someones house or use a droid to make them. You cant use a public crafting station for anything with a complexity of over 20 (i think), and yes, the HT field base is a public station (which should be on the 'to fix' list given the elite nature of that base)
You still need to have a crafting kit in addition to the station in order to make advanced kits & stims.
What the station does is allow you to run experiments.
