Thread: Decrease in spawn rate and density of creatures?
Some one has already posted this on the scout forum. I'm wondering if others are experiencing this.
Yesterday I was doing the jedi hermit missions on Dantooine and I had to run back to the temple ruins at least 3 times. I've had to do this before but the thing that was different is that the trek was uneventful. There seemed to be less creature density, and at times no creatures at all for minutes. Same thing happened while hunting on Sunday in Tatooine, Endor and Lok. I couldn't believe that my group went thru a kilometer without seeing any crit or pirate, when a few days ago you had to crawl to get past the red blob on the radar screen.
Yeah, mob density appears to be down some.
It would have been nice to see the humanoid density decreased out in the far wilds, but I would like the creature density to have stayed the same.
It doesn't make much sense to me to find10groups of Valarians or Spice Fiends just milling about on the Eastern Dune Sea. What are they doing way out there? Did they get on Valarians bad side and get sent on some crap mission to the middle of the desert? ![]()
I don't mind the ones that have a camp or structure, but why just stray thugs? I can understand if they appear to have a purpose out there.
Maybe they should have decreased the creature density near towns and decreased the NPC density in the vasts tracks of land far from civilization?..
I have also been having the same problem with less spawns.... It's making it difficult to find the 45 diseased chubas I need to complete my Explorer-Mission-Terminal quest! I have taken 3 other long-range quests and still only found/shot/skinned ONE diseased chuba!!! YES! Only ONE!!! Only sheer stubborness is making me hold on to the chuba-quest.... but I will give it up tonight if I don't find any around Kadara, Naboo (that's the only area of the map I have not walk over in the last 3 days....)

I think the issue is this. They changed the mission spawns so that they only spawn when you get close to them. So all the newbies that were running to endor, grabing missions then leaving are no longer causing a problem.
You are refering to Detroy missions. He was talking about Explorer missions. Newbies I see tend to not have the patience of survivability for those. Mine have taken me far, far away, which by all means I don't mind... but it has proved difficult in the time I have online to find anything before I have to logout.
I have noticed that they get sparce and then suddenly in some areas mysteriously get more dense. I think it's just the way the random number gen popped out the bits.
