Thread: I am not getting the screen to experiment with my Camo Kits! HELP!
I'm using my General Crafting Tool. I'm standing right next to a General item crafting station. Yet it never give me the screen to experiment.
Anyone have any ideas why?
Yup just figured this out yesterday. You have to use a Weapon Crafting Tool, and be near the Weapon Crafting station to do it.
Finally got 5 charges on my Naboo camo kit.![]()
<still camping on Naboo>
The specific tool is a "Weapon, Droid, and General Item Crafting Tool". The crafting station you want to be next to is a "Weapon, Droid, and General Item Crafting Station".
In your Generic Crafting Tool you'll notice that camp kits, traps, and camo kits are all in the "generic" tab (as opposed to the weapons or food tabs).
The generic crafting tool will do a lot of different categories, but it won't do the high-end stuff, and it *does not* provide an interface to the "experiment" function on the Crafting Stations.
So, for making camo kits and experimenting to get the charges up, use a WDG tool next to a WDG station.
I'm going to do a post on crafting as a ranger. I have found most rangers don't understand the system. Look for it soon. (hopefully today)
7 seems to be the max? At least for the Correlian kit from my experiments.
OK thanks. Getting one is no problem. What drives me nuts that that HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT? JUST GUESS?????? Gee it was nice of them to tell us!
ARRGG!!
I've wasted TONS of resources now making camo kits that had 2 or 3 charges!

And why on earth would we have to use a WEAPON crafting tool. A Camo Kit is NOT a weapon!
It's technically a SpecializedWeapon, Droid, and General Crafting Tool

The Holocron has all this information. So does the manual. Take a look under crafting. The World would be a better place if people took the time to read the instructions.
