I really like the sound of the tracking tree, but I don't exactly know how usefull that'll be since I'm not a BH....I'd only be using it to track down imps....but for the rest of the trees I'm at a loss, I don't know what seems usefull or what would actually be fun to play with.....if anyone could help me out It would be much appreciated.

Trapping - Currently broken, going to be getting stationary traps to use on creatures

Tracking - Allows you to harvest more (screwed since patch), see more information about creatures (Working now), a minor creature to-hit bonus that works on ranged standard attacks only, and of course...tracking!

Frontiering - Make pretty looking camps, forage stuff (But no rare stuff like it's supposed to)

Wayfaring - Crawl speed bonuses (This could be useful for a commando I suppose since they need all the accuracy they can get and being prone could help?) and of course the new camouflage kits that are supposed to work on creatures and NPC's but are currently not working properly. Once these kits are working, I can see using kits even in PvP sort of. Imagine being able to run into hordes of vicious critters with a bunch of the opposing faction chasing you. They ignore you (thanks camo kit!) and turn on your chasing enemies instead (Heh situational I know but I like the concept).

hmmm....I jump ship from carbineer because it was kinda broken, this doesn't seem to hot either...but I really love running over hills faster now ....so at least that's one step ahead of where I was, even if everything else is not so good.

And so the camo kits don't work against NPCs at the moment?

I keep hearing from people that camo kits don't work against NPC's, but mine do. I've had several times I've gotten Scouting Exp just running around with camo on with no one within 200meters except red NPC's. Seems to be working fine. And that's just with the first skill in that tree.

I can't say on the traps, I just got trapping 2 late last night, haven't tried any of them yet.

Question: How do you know you're concealed? I get the nose icon next to my character's HAM bars when I use MS. But when I used a Naboo Camo Kit I could not verify that I was concealed. And I did not notice any camo paint on my character's face... do they not graphically show your camo-ed?

Also, I noticed that when I was camo-ed from Naboo, I took a shuttle to Doeba Gurfel (Corellia) and tried to MS, but it stated that I was concealed. Why is this? I did not use a Corellian Camo Kit. Do these camo kits carry over? Can I place a Naboo Camo Kit on and travel to Dathomir?

"I get the nose icon next to my character's HAM bars when I use MS. But when I used a Naboo Camo Kit I could not verify that I was concealed."

- The nose icon is also used for /conceal. You can not use both /maskscent and /conceal together.

"but it stated that I was concealed. Why is this?"

- I hope you used /bug, and reported this... Sounds rather bizarre indeed.

I haven't tested out Ranger traps recently, but they are still highly situational even if working. Area effect blind and stun only on creatures? Most of the time you want to fight things singly. I honestly haven't tested the camo kits on NPC's yet; I just made my first Corellian ones today as I was having trouble finding the resources needed. Others had mentioned it not working on NPC's, but I will give it a shot later. Guessing if they work for someone they work for everyone though . Anyway back to the subject, I would say Wayfaring or Tracking will be the best lines for the dabbler.

I guess I should have put in the title "which tree is the least broken".

And thanks for all the replies...this info should be quite handy
