1.) Put camps in your toolbarSlots 00-21 ... the highest camp you can make.

2.) In slot 22 make a recursive macro that makes your character sit down and stand up every now and then.

3.) 23, recursive macro that calls 00-21, then 23

4.) Rent a nice PS2/Xbox/Gamecube game

Your camps will disband every hour or so, but you can leave that macro running and it will rebuild it for you. If you leave it overnight thats a free 8k xp almost. You can leave it on all day too if you work or something like that. The game is so you can pass the time while this macro is running...its even better this way cause you can take a break every half hour, and change the camp..1/2 hr. is about the time it takes to get 1k xp with a improved camp i believe.

Another good idea, if you havent mastered the rest of the trees, is to head to Mining Outpost in Dantooine (at least on bloodfin), where its easy to get at least 10 people in a group. You can hunt with them and get the xp for harvesting a ton, and then you can set up camps for fronteiring. With 10 ppl in a group, it only takes about2 minutes to get 1k xp, then you can disband and repeat.

Hopes this helps all of you. By the way i highly recommend Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Not the best game ever..but a great rental game (doesnt take too long to beat but mad fun).

Good luck

It will help some people. But the concensus here is to camp, and craft camps, then disband the camp according to the timing for the best xp. You can make 8k camping in only1 hour instead of 8.

OR think of it this way Frontiering 4 is 70k camping xp. Do you really want to leave your computer on for 70 hours? If you do it just over night that's 9 days.

Better yet, group with 20 people go hunt Rancs or Krayts and make a camp every time you kill something and disband it every 2-3 minutes. That'll be roughly 30k an hour.

I think the best solution is doing both.

I used the AFK method with some tweaks when I was away at work or sleeping or whatever.. and the crafting method when online but not hunting.

Camping XP is such BS. It should be like weapon XP.. and everybody in a camp gets to share. That would make it a group thing and you could throw a camping XP party or whatever.

For the AFK method, try adding some "tumble to standing" and "tumble to prone" moves or maybe set yourself up near a newbie spawn and target creatures and attack to get the camp to disband sooner. That will shorten the time.

Its a rather hollow accomplishment in itself as you won't use the big camps hardly ever after getting them, but its a necessary step to Master Ranger that we must put up with.

Hate to do the "old timer bit" but.... heard of it before

There was a post about macroing, do a search

I personally did no macro camps. Ever. I roleplayed it and only dropped them when it made sense (at night, part of a journey to the next town, ect.) I never dropped a camp in the same place twice

Well, except that hill near Tyrena. That would always get a few lookies, but it was at least a day apart between using that spot

I agree completely. Im not saying my way is the only way...but its a good way if your in no rush, and dont like to craft (unless you use out of game programs to craft). Also after 19 professions some people arent as rich as they used to be, so the grinding out more camps is tough 70k camping xp from crafting is a lot of bone and hide.

Another thing thats worked for me, is to convince others to stay in your camp. I do this by doing the tumble to stand method, and get a medic to heal me in my camp. Even with only me and the medic, I get 1k xp every 15 minutes or so. So this is another good alternative.

I guess I should of renamed this thread ... Best "Cost-Effective" Frontiering XP trick ... however the overnight method is definately a good one to use in addition to whatever else you do, since its free xp while you sleep.

I didnt mean to sound like i was disagreeing with any of the other afore mentioned methods, in other threads. Even though i guess with a title like this, that's how it came across.
