Thread: A question from a Bio Engineer...
Hi there. As a MBE/CH I have a few skill points to throw around... I have been seriously considering taking as much ranger as skill points will allow. I won't be able to master Ranger (sadly), and I know I will never be able to craft Dathomir Camo kits (which I need sooo badly), but I was wondering if I buy a crate or two off a Master Ranger, will I be able to use them? Also, will camo be much more effective against mobs like bull rancor and mutant rancors?
Thanks a lot, I know these are probably silly questions.
In my experience and from reading on the forums don't bother with camo kits. Use maskscent and make it a hotbutton.
If you are BE and CH I would HIGHLY recommend the Tracking line. Like I have said in other posts, sucks at novice but is awesome when you get the 4th box filled.
Good luck.
I believe that if you have Wayfaring I, and thus the /conceal command, you should be able to use Dath Camo if you haveit on ya. Although there isn't much point to doing this at the moment... conceal is a maskscent that uses resources. I still find it fun to make the camo (it's like a scavenger hunt) and it's the only thing that I can make under the ranger/scout tree that I can experiment on, but it's not really worth using it. But anyways, to answer your question, you only need Wayfaring I to use any camo kit.

How's this for a complete answer:
You can't use Dath camo unless you're a master. I tried it with a friend who was grinding Ranger in his path to enlightenment, and he wasn't able to use it.
But you CAN use a camp that's one level above the kind you can make, i.e. a ranger with Frontiering 3 can USE a high tech field base, but they can't make them.
Just in case it does work, how much should I look to pay for a crate or two of Dathomir Camo Kits?
