what is the big difference between Tracking 4 and Master Ranger?? Is there a distance difference or something? I ask because I am making my alt a Ranger/Swords to hunt Ancient Bulls and Krayts and it would be good to have some Medic just incase of those hairy situations. any feedback appreciated

thanks

master...you get dath camo kits, and a +10 ranged/melee def. its nice cause you also get more camo bonuses, but its really only if you want to be a RANGER, not a person who just happens to have Ranger skills to harvest more/track things.

I doubt a little medic would help you much. Besides that I've heard there is a range change. However since I was a master before tracking I wouldn't know =(

I doubt you'd need tracking to find either. Seems whever I'm near the sarlacc pit on Dathomir or the Krayt Graveyard on Tatooine, I never have a problem finding either...er...actually, they find me. Usually when I have no buffs. And don't have a rifle readied....

Master Ranger and buy a Stimbot and make friends with a Master Doctor. Then use teh 15 points for something else. Sure you can't actually heal in a fight(unless you have your stimbot out all the time and dont use a Harvestor droid). But you can heal up FAST in camp.

If you don't care about the other lines of Ranger or the title of 'Master Ranger' itself, get more medic (2040 would be a nice start, first aid and the ability to use stim-d's is not a bad idea). There is no real point to get master for that tiny extra bit of harvest.

Tracking isn't affected by skill mods. Different tracking abilities are granted in the tracking tree, but none are given in the Master Ranger box.

In other words, mastering Ranger doesn't improve your tracking ability. If you're only interested in the tracking ability, there's no point in spending any skill points other than 0040 in ranger.

Yes and No... Sure they only take A's so what? If you saw what I said I use him to heal up fast in camp. As for gettying caught in a cross fire. I have never had any droid get attacked unless it was grouped with me.

Did you use that droid in situations like he described, like for example hunting krayt dragons (their area of effect attacks apply to quite a huge area)?

a Stimbot

Those bots only take stim a's ... hardly useful if you ever plan to fighter bigger stuff (and they tend to get caught in the 'crossfire' of AoE attacks)

Master swordsman kill Ancient Bulls so fast leveling Jedi cry. Since you are asking whether to be a Master Ranger or not then I would suggest 0030 or 0040 and take 2040 medic. Use the rest where ever you like but you can absolutely survive without any ot the other levels of Ranger.

Yes.. I had a special Stimbot made. He has Minimal Auto-repair. 4400 HAM and 1 combat Moduel. So he doesn;t run like your Harvestor does when attack. He shoots back Did the same with a Trapper droid. also had a storage unit put in each. It is ammazing what the DEs can build you if you ask and don;t just buy off the shelf
