Hi,

Currently hunting Bol Bolle's on Naboo. I have had to break with my rule of not using solo groups;it is the only way I canaccess the missions, which I'm not happy about. I often hunt at 'off peak' times when you wouldn't be able to find a solo group too, which means I can't hunt when I want to (but this is a general problem with rangers using solo-groups). Why am I using missions? Well I haven't had any luck finding wild spawns, so missions are needed.

After having done the Bol Bolle missions (even the missions that spawned five at a time; large group), I fail to see why these things are group missions. I can get harder solo missions elsewhere.

Yeah I don't know why you need a solo group for bolle bols either. They're easy enough. Are you Rebel or Imp. If you're Imp, see if you can get a hold of an ATST. It's a pain since you have to be overt to use it, but you can group with it and get bolle bol missions that way. I did that a few times and it was frustrating, since I got killed by a reb one day, lol. Or you can get a level 10 pet and group with it. The doc I hunt for used to be a master CH and he's loaning me one of his level 10 pets. Works great. Pop him out in Moenia, group, get missions, send him home and go kill the bolle bols.

So those are basically your two choices, without having to resort to those solo groups. Hope this helps a bit. I'm currently hunting bolle bols on Naboo too.

I'm actually neutral. Now I do have a lvl10 Kaadu, but it's not very combat effective, so I did actually try grouping with my Adv R3 combat droid, but that didn't help. I'd heard I had to be grouped with someone else who had a master combat profession, or something mad like a lvl63 pet. Given all that, I didnt' even try my kaadu, but I'll give it a whirl anyway.

On the plus side though, if I get ina huge solo group I get three sets of five Bol Bolle's instead of three sets of two or three

Yeah, I agree with dave, this is sort Bravo Sierra.

Bols are easy. On Endor I don't take their missions, the payout is too low. If I see them, I regard them as an easy bonus and time permitting will take them down as for the extra meat. Yet on Naboo I have to solo group to get them... sorta dumb.

The second part of Dave's post leads to my usual rant about Naboo. On my server large parts of the planet are wall to wall cities. You can literally leave Theed, and once you pass out of the no build zone, go east almost to the planet boundary and never leave city limits. You leave city A and are in city B, to township C, etc... No wonder there is no wild spawn.

Finally - if you are a Master in a combat profession, and group with your level 10 pet or level 19 droid, the missions are lower than if you were solo. I say this not having checked lately what I get with my droid only - my pet having be relegated to bye bye land to make space for spaceships. I will check later. This is also sorta silly, as my killing power is at least doubled with a pro-bot, yet the missions are lower.

It is worth the credits to get a DE to make you a MAX damage combat droid. Pop him out and group. get your mission then put him away. Him and a T21 in your hands should let you get any mission on Naboo except for maybe Fambas. You might even get them. I was able to get Fambas with a Repair droid tank(minimum combat) and a Lvl 20 Razor cat now and then. Bols all the time.

hmmm i haven't had problems finding wild bolle bol spawns on naboo, i don't track for them either or ride around looking, i walk the whole northern shore east to west

now sometimes the server/game don't like me and i can't find anything at all after hours of looking, but i have had luck the last few days with it, even when i was trying to walk back to theed i kept running into wild lairs, whats really nice is to a find a spawn with no lair, have ran into a few of those and gotten 2k meat from it till it up and despawned on me (i really hate when that happens) i don't take missions at all for them, just go wandering around, its how i find most of want to look for, i hunted for a really long time today though, more than my usual harvesting runs, i must have walked the northern shore of naboo atleast 100 times, some of the wild lairs were even in the same spot as before, but seeing as it had been atleast an hour since i was there it came back, was wierd a few times when that happened

wild spawns i have found are so much better than missions for getting meat, a few weeks back when i was getting tat incest meat, couldn't find any of the giant sand beetles, i can get the missions for them alone since i'm master rifleman, i tried 2 since i couldn't find any wild 1's , well i get to the 1st mission for them and there is only 1 beetle out, i was like WTH there are usually more in a lair than this, figure hitting the lair will get more out, nope it didn't ended up with 2 beetles and a bady beetle for the whole mission, then there was the other downside of this i found after i found a wild lair, that was how much meat they drop, the wild lair i was getting over 100 meat per beetle everytime, the mission beetles i was gettting only 70 meat per beetle, that just made me mad there, so i just went back to wandering around and looking, that harvest never did go very well for me

but haveing all kinds of good luck with bolle bols this time around, sorry for going on and on here, oh well

and yes some missions that need a big group to get but are really easy is pretty annoying, hell if they let the elite combat proffsions get the higher lvl missions with better payout there would have never been solo groups , cause i think its sad that on tat i can go to a mission terminal and still show missions that pay less than 1k, ya know the noob missions,

i mean i can solo a mountion squill lair on tat, can do it without a single 1 aggro on me, but need to be in a group to get the missions, ok thats enough or i'll keep going on and on here
