I never hunt on cor, just seams like a borring planet to me. But there is some great meat on chimera and a hunter thats just on a new server its a great way to get rolling.
I have seen giant carrion spats in the southern plains, sorta south east of corrent. Are there any other places that seam to have these guys, or another spot that would ahve good hunting for them or the others that drop it,. I really dont like missions and would much rather stick to areas that they spawn.. Correlia and tauls are the 2 places i never hunt, I much prefer yavin, and tat for some reason.

On my server Corellia is infested with Carrions and Giant Carrions until the avian spawn has a good shift. Then there are very difficult to find. It may only be coincidence but it seems that if you can not find a carrion spat it means the meat is good. Generally the heaviest spawns I have seen are to the west and slightly in a southerly angle of CNET.

Yes the Mountains SE of Kor Vella are good if there are any wild spawns left. Try also looking for Gulginaws. When I was hunting there I killed everything I could find, to get spawns of Carions or Gulginaws

Corellian avian (or almost any avian for that matter) is great for the low level ranger. I hope they never change it. I have a wookiee on Kettemoor that I play very casually - over a year and he's still only got one box of rifleman, one tier of CH, and two boxes of tracking. About once I month, I consult SWGCraft for the best avian meat, go hunt for a bit, and I've paid my rent for a while.
A while ago, Corellian avian was decent, so I started off from Doaba Guerfel and headed west into the mountains, destination Kor Vella. I wanted carrion spats, but ended up skirting the north edge of the swamp and finding those Agrilat rasps. I think I did better on the rasps than on the spats because they were faster/safer for me to kill and there were a ton of them per lair. Ended up with about 1k of the meat by the time I emerged onto the plains east of Kor Vella. Also happened upon a neat statue-head-thing in the middle of nowhere.
Sold the harvest on the Coronet bazaar at a basement price and earned my rent money for the next couple of months. Maybe I could have done better by getting buffed and armored and grinding missions, but this was a fun. Just me, my trusty laser rifle (over a year old, hand made by a long departed master) and a bio-engineered buddy.

Well acually what i really want is rasps...
Im a brand new character on this server,, and the stuff is going for 250 cpu ! ! can you beilve it?? Im a starting out architect there, and im trying to pay harvesters right now. should i continue to sell back packs, and personal harvesters? or go combat for a while and hunt avain? Im still mining,, but its worth soo much so why not have fun tohunt for those prices : )
struggle making harvesters selling on the bazzar.. or make 5 million in 3 days, hmmm tough to decide.even a newb can grab 20k if theyknow how to hunt.. well where to hunt.. thats why im asking you all. Consiter it a test of how much a ranger well newb to ranger can make in a few days : ) now if it was naboo, ill give you any spawn to the meter, mountians of Boo, what a great place.
Cor? i dont hunt there much, honestly i have never hunted there cept for a few times maybe 3 hours total in over a year. Naboo, tat, rori, yavin thats my gig.. endor from time to time. my favorites, klikniks on yavin, and maulers on naboo, ohh wait they are npcs.. /grinyou mean i cant skin um?
Help a fellow ranger out, i dont need no stinking mission to find a spawn !Give me some spots to look. Im gonna huntRasp,, agrilate swamp. what do you think?

Thanks guys,
your info will help a lot. I think im gonna run some faction missions to get enough for a set of buffs and then hit doaba, i love that place and walk west, hitting the swamp on the way. i'll post back later and let ya'll know how it went : )

What JB said. The Mountains northeats of Kor Vella is the jackpot.
Good lucky, you may be a rich man soon. A month or so ago on Bloodfin, Cor Avian was up to 300 cpu.
