Thread: I'm on the Ledge...talk me down

I have been a happy Master Ranger since around August. These days I find I never bother to throw traps, rarely use camo (too darn much work for the planet specific's and maskscent seems to work as well) I no longer need a tent for anything more than heals. The areatrack I do use but even with that, often my non-scout friends find the creatures before I do. /who tells me players in the area.


I have been waiting for a "fix" of sorts with Ranger. Wait longer? Surrender? I need help making this decision. If Jedi does indeed become quest based, I fear my character will not be strong enough to attempt that path.


I have not done any holo professions. I didn't want to take away the magic of my chosen profession. Alas....I'm indeed on the ledge.

I wouldnt dare push ya but I have to say I am hanging onto Tracking but the rest will go as I try out other stuff. After I finish Rifleman I may try Fencer or Swordsman. Right now I just cant make the points wasted make sense to me. Once they revamp it I will enjoy earning every block the real way but for now I am gonna try new things and see what else is out there.


Take this time to piddle with other Professions and when its worth going back to Ranger all of us will go with glee.

I as well am i on the verge of giving up waiting for changes....but my city needs me to track the dirty imps that are trying to take down our bases....


Plus i'm lazy.

dont worry about jumping.....


If you arent having fun, go west young man and explore the other professions that the game offers... try to have fun and not merely grind.


I did the exact same thing,I left ranger and scout to go explore other professions and have fun, i found that I missed being a ranger more than i expected too.


I explored, I had fun, but in the end, I re-mastered ranger and im not leaving it

Update...ya, old post.


I sat and I paced and I looked over that ledge. A trapping droid behind me, a harvesting droid below. Friends offered advice...if you dropped lala, and took dada, you would be UBER!


Ok. so maybe I don't want to be uber. Maybe I am just a romantic. I enjoy the time I spend sitting in my fancy camp, healing, watching the sun rise over an unpopulated area, and chatting over the com with friends.


A pal gave me a harvesting driod. I would not have bought one otherwise. I saddled up the Bantha, leashed my killer cat, told little tin can Harvey to follow and set off to collect Tat wooly for camo. Watching from the satelight, I was quite pleased with the picture. Seems Ehope really does live in the Galaxies of Star Wars.


I tracked the Bantha just outside Mos Entha. Checked my "parade" and sent them in for the kill. Little Harvey made me proud. He didn't miss a single hide. I did laugh when one Bantha began chasing him. Good thing his wheels spin fast.


I will use Harvey when hunting low level creatures. He's kinda cute and minds well. In a large group, when true tactics are involved. (tabbing targets) It may be best to send the driod off for an oil bath and buff.


To sum all this up. I am a Ranger. Started down that path close to a year ago and I'm not leaving....yet.
