Thread: Armor question/comment

With the Ranger being able to use Mandy armor, will ne of us really be able to get the what is required to make it? I remember when RIS came out and the items were more or less available to the hardcore or very rich players. When the new Geo Sonic gun came out it requires some decent loot, so most players wil never be able to get one... So being that this armor has been asked about since pre-latch, I figure it will be pretty hard to get requiring some high-end mob killing. And we all know when it comes to high-end mob slaughter the Ranger is Shaft. So, why would the devs give us this obviously wasted armor cert, beyond the "shut-up" factor? Why not give the Rangers an armor that has bonuses to our skills, unless Mandy armor gives us some traps?
Side note what armor if any are you guys wearing, I love using Rebel Flame(Bright Orange) Mabri Armor. It just screams /conceal

That is exactally what it seems like.
Why not give the Rangers an armor that has bonuses to our skills, unless Mandy armor gives us some traps?
They gave us a droid that throws traps, and a harving droid, also kind of a shut up factor.

If you go to Endor near where the new dungeon will be there are already npc's there dropping the bounty hunter armor.That just gets converted to Mando armor.

Short answer: Yes, a Ranger can get the armor.
Long answer: As a Master Rifleman, I can still put out a lot of damage. While I might not be able to get the armor alone, I can definately find a few friends willing to help me get it. For RIS, the creatures that drop the parts are easy enough to kill (I've soloed every one of them but the albatross unarmored and unbuffed). The drops are just too rare to really bother (having solo killed about 15giant dune kimos, 5 or so gurk kings, and 10 or so woolamander harrowers, I've only managed to obtain a single woolamander bone fragment. I have yet to see an albatross). If I kept trying, I probably could get all the parts together but it already started to bore me. And I can't even wear the helmet. I'm hoping Mandalorian is a bit less boring to get and that I can wear the whole suit.
As for stats on the Mandalorian, no one knows yet. The Bounty Hunter Armor (the base for the Mandalorian) seems to be able to have 90% base resists with low HAM costs, though. That is extremely good for armor (although I think it is heat/acid/stun vulnerable making it somewhat less useful in PvP). If I manage to get a set, I will probably wear it because it should look quite cool. If I can't get a set, I might just try killing more Storm Troopers so that I can afford a nice starship in the Space Expansion (I don't want to have to wait for people to craft it first if possible).
Side note:I don't wear armor unless I am PvPing or other special circumstances.

I thought I heard that they took those out. Hmm, I might have to go check it out when I get some time. I just hope /conceal holds up so I can loot. Although I think I'll finish up getting Colonel first.

I dont know when they took them out but a guildie just got wacked there by one. He was TKM/Doctor.

Whoa, what did I miss, where is the new dungoen supposed to be? Anyone have coords please? I wanna bring my hammer down and loot some BH armor too.

Its only on TC yet. But, if you go around there you will find NPC's like in the pics above that will be there when the dungeon goes live.
