I hope your profession gets some serious lovn like we just did, you guys deserve it!!!
In the mean time, If any Rangers on Kettemoor are looking for some harvesting Droids (r-3 type or whatever you want) I'll be on today taking any special orders for you guys. Currently my droids harvest ratings are 100-105. I usually charge about 57k for these models, but if you mention this post, I'll give you a 7k discount and throw in some free batteries too.

Not dissing you or anything, I understand how hard it is to attain the high ratings, but is there a point to having a "100 rated" harvest droid? I thought 120 = 20% increase on harvesing. Does 105 give a 5% increase and 100 give a 0% increase?

I think your right, but it is very nice that he came to post for us. It may be the same as we get if we physical did it ourselves, but now we won't waste the creatures that we miss from an agro herd.

Thanks for responding to the post on the DE board. I am glad it did not go unnoticed. Maybe if we all stick together they will put some real effort into providing a finished product.

Have a look here for some info on how the droid seems to work. It appears to give a bonus as long as your harvesting mod is lower than the rating of the droid. So a Master Ranger should see some benefit from a 100 droid. But I think a combat/trapping droid would be more useful to me (I rarely harvest for cash and that sort of droid sounds like more fun). Sadly I haven't been able to get in contact with my guild DE yet.

You guys are quite welcome. As far as the module ratings go, I have been reading and experiancing the benifits and seem to think that it is a relationship between the harvester and the droid. The higher your harvest skill, the higher the droids will need to be in order to see a benifit. Eating the harvest food (vagharsh or something like that) will also "boost", if you will, the droid's harvest benefits. Having novice scout and a maxed out meat-bot would probably be the most beneficial combo, but not sure.

Very nice post.
Rangers are in limbo, alright- but I think pretty much everyone here agreed that you guys needed love alot more than we do.
Just out of curiosity, do you feel "fixed"? Personally, I think DE's need more goodies to play with before the devs move on to another prof.

IMHO no profession will ever feel "fixed" . . . we will all want more out of the game. I do feel we are in a good limbo. I enjoy exploring, hunting, camping. I look forward to more improvments. But I feel our limbo is a good one.
