Now I know the ranger professions looking fairly dismal, almost everything is broken or not strong enough. So i decided rather than dwell on the bad, why not pay some attention to the good stuff about rangers. Now let me think.. uh i'll come up with it sooner or later, in the mean time, here you can post stories about fun stuff thats happened when you were a ranger.

1: I noted about 2 days ago the reason why camouflage doesn't work, its simple really, smearing yourself with flesh of animals hunted by carnivores is like stuff your pants full of raw steaks to hide from dogs. It just doesn't make sense.

2: Earlier today I managed yet again to use Voritor lizards to my advantage, running them into a pack of storm troopers. That should be made a skill, like a pheremone dart that attracts all nearby red animals.

I'm one of five Master Rangers on Lowca. Wow.

I am more rare than a Jedi.

Just think that's kinda neat.

Positive Ranger stories? I got a million of them. Let's see here....Oh yeah...So I am on Endor on Friday evening.Out of the blue, and old acuaintancesends me a tell asking ifI was still hunting the Gorax. I tell him,I look off and on, but nothing too serious. He replies with a story of how he and his friendjust found one and gottheir butts handed tothem by it. I tell himI wish I had been there. He then invites me to look for the one he fought.

I gathered a few of my guildmates to come along and off we go. We get to where he saw the Gorax, but it had despawned (no surpirse, really). He tells me that he had to kill a spawn of Stoneskin Hanadak (ie 1 Stoneskin that respwaned 4 times) to get the Gorax to appear (this method is still unproven in my eyes, but seems to have some merit).

We then hunted around in the desert for a bit, until I finally tracked (YES TRACKED!!!) a Stoneskin. We proceeded to kill the Stoneskin spawn, no easy task due to it's extrememly high resists and medium ham, but never got a Gorax to spawn. In the meantime, we had a blast! I was able to collect a lot of meat due to my Ranger skills. I was able to successfully track a couple of Stoneskins. I had a good time with friends.

A friend of mine is trying to build the RIS armor. This weekend I tracked down a grand total of 5 giant dune kimos in an hour. We didn't get any scales but using areatrack sucessfully for such an important project (helping a friend) made me euphoric. Though it may have also been all the brandy I drunk. How else are you going to be crazy enough to stand underneath a giant lizard, poking your narglatch with stim packs, unless you are stinking drunk?

After each kill we harvested the kimos and I got the requisite "What the... HOW much did you just harvest??" Then I threw up a nice impressive camp so we could relax while the doctor cured my 8 instances of disease. Those kimos are dirty monsters.

They let me loot the kimos on the off chance that I would get a higher percentage of rare loot, being a Ranger. (Does that work?) I wish I had looted a scale for them, it would have made a truly perfect day. Still, just the fact that I could be so useful as a 0240 Ranger made me a very +happy+ wookiee.

Sadly, being a Ranger has no effect on what you loot.

Some quick clips.....

Although rare recently, I just tracked 4 Krayts a couple days ago, givingmy groupjump on all of them........

Being able to successfully track 3Albatrosson 3consecutive days in 3 varying locations.

As aluded to in the prior post, the utter amazement of others when you put up a High Tech Base Kit whichis larger than most peoples small houses....the comfort they can provide for the group

The ability to sneak right past certain aggro cave mobs while other groups are stopped and attacked...

Respect people give me simply for being part of this elite group
