Its an issue I rarely see brought up, but I think its really important to our class. Many of us wish for our traps to be re-worked and debate their usefulness. It should concern us all then, as it stands right now, the highest trap schematic in the game (sonic pulse) is completely useless.
If you are unsure of what I'm talking about, let me explain, otherwise skip down.
Sonic pulse traps dizzy the target and all others in a radius effect. Dizzy, as far as I know, has no other effect other than to "create a chance of falling down when changing postures."
In pvp and pve vs humanoids, dizzy is an extremely powerful option when combined with a posture changing move. We all know the infamous dizzy-kd combo and really a dizzy followed by a posture changing move is nearly as effective. But dizzy doesn't work against creatures! A dizzy effect followed by a posture change doesn't result in the target falling down, nor does it prevent them from getting back up if they are knocked down. Since traps don't work on anything but creatures, and dizzy doesn't work on creatures, sonic pulse traps don't work. Considering it takes a 95 skill points to get the sonic pulse schematic, I think its fair to ask for a trap that works.
What I want to know is, is the dizzy effect working as intended on creatures? If not, is it a priority and is it going to be fixed anytime soon? I would argue that this is a much more important issue than its usually considered. Any class that has a special with a dizzy effect is effected by this, it just has a particular sting to us rangers since our highest available trap is useless.
If it is working right, we really need a new trap in our trapping 3 box.
