Godmadeth all the creatures that flyeth and creepeth upon the surface of the planets, why did he make them all flyeth and creepeth away when I am about to finally kill them or even milk the buggers? Behold the ronto, the cupa or even a sharnaff; and when you try and milk them, if they arent laying down, BAM they magically telport into the air or 100M away. Or my favorite, the beautiful graceful Giant Peko, gracefully flying away with only the barest smidgen of life left. Bye bye 100cpu of living chicken chunks! And dont forget the glorious majesty of the Juv krayt you finally manage to find alone, without a million other players or 2 million jedis running around kill stealing, and you solo that little fellah down to the last breath it has in it, and bam he runs, like the wind into grand ma ancient. Oh joy.

So heres my idea. Allow Rangers the ability to place a "deadfall" trap. It would cost 1 lot, and of course you could "destroy " and reclaim the structure and lot when you were done. If I had my druthers on this, we could have NPC pet Kunga caveman that would drive banthas, thunes, and all the other snuffalupagus creatures into the yawning maw of a giant pit! Man, im practically drooling at this idea. Picture it, your kunga rifle bearer could curtiuosly come to the camp and let you know the "pit" was full. You could throw on your boots, a sun hat and stand on the edge of the "bucket" shooting at the luckless "fish" in it then send in the kunga harvester/flenser teams. Ah life would be good. What about those pesky flyers you ask? Im thinking a giant bolo launcher that would drag that thing down the side of a hill double quick, its great pitiful wings beating ineffectually as the cables tightend about its lower legs. Ah, or maybe a giant snare net, hmmm?

See ya at the graveyard,

hehe great post -- have you tried tossing a p. dart or adhesive mesh trap at the critter just before it dies? This won't work for krayts (well, it never has for me), but it might help with smaller things. But yep, I hate it when this happens, especially when it happens even before they die. for example, hunting pekos when you come upon a wild lair and each one flies in a new direction, and you end up having to areatrack to chase then each and every one....

it's not REALLY a modest proposal until you add this:

these 'deadfall'/'pit'/'bola' traps will be crafted using fresh babies.

Now, from the people that brought you _RANGER PIT FALL_, we present (cue tada!) _RANGER SLAUGHTER HOUSE_

Slaughter house cost one lot, and is manned by surly yet obediant weequays. Just /summon tamed or trapped creatures into the catch pen and kill chute where they will be quickly reduced into components, with a great harvest bonus! Attention, Slaughter House deeds are manufactured by Master Architects and require 1000 units of bone that have to harvested from baby paralopes.

This would be a great way to get rid of those pesky pets taking up space in datapad. You could host a BBQ's where ex-CH's could "release" the pets directly into the chute. A master chef could be on hand to prepare the victuals fresh from the grinder, yummm. Processed Meat, its whats for dinner!

P-Darts work very well on Juvi Krayts. Well you might want a fresh stack handy. Having 4 or 5 in a row fail does happen.

I um.. do this.. um a lot. I could stop right now if I wanted to.
