Yes, using the camo in caves is an interesting situation.
As a Master Rifleman I can normally handle any one, two or three NPC's in a cave situation pretty easily. I just work my way though them, one at a time, and watch the blue disappear from their mind bar!!
If I use camo, and "sneak" past 3 or 4 NPC's, but then get aggro'd by one which draws the others on me, now suddenly instead of a manageable number on me I have 7 or 8 on me, much tougher to handle and manage. Trying to then use an area shot to impact the whole group aggro's even MORE NPC's in the cave and now you have a dozen or so on you. This can become a mess.
So, bottom line is I would rather not mess with camo when it is so undependable and can actually get me into more trouble by breaking in the middle of something/somewhere than if I work my way in being aggro'd as I go.

I recently attempted hitting the GEO caves with some Cammo on. The Genosians charged right out me and the cammo never broke. At the time I was too busy running ('cause I was alone and my traps don't work on them ugly bugs) so I couldn't retry.
I'll play around tonight and see what I can find out.
One thing I can tell you though, is that it USED to work in those caves and at the Imperial Prison on Dath.

I've had such mixed results with cammo in caves that I really, really do think we've got a hidden 'luck' roll when out toons are created.
The Sennex cave: went up there one afternoon for a scout around, cammoed up, walked in, got tothe bottom of the cave, found the big old skeleton, took some pix, found a rock that could be opened, waved to the mixture farmers family and told them he'd run off with a stormy. The Sennex? They stood around, smoking, drinking, just hanging with their buds.
Went back recently to do the cave for myself, got most of the way in and was aggroed badly. For once I was suited and booted, toked to the eyeballs of brandy, cakes and spice. That and a passing TKM got me thru the cave and, soon as i saw daylight, I ran like diaho^W the wind. Unfortunately thats'when I found that the Sennex will follow you for at least 1.5km and STILL come looking for you after they drop off the radar. Yike.
Tusken cave, dralls, imps. Well, so long as nobody else is aggroing them I get on OK. Likewise the warren etc.
The Geo cave, just for 'fun' I camoed up, got in a couple of rooms worth, was attacked by this and that but survived okay. Then my cammo broke, and every red dot on the planet turned up for a party. It saved me the lond drive home.

did that once while i was grinding rifles at the sennex caves. the spawn was crazy that night (they chased me out of the cave 4 times). though with flurry 2 i managed to kill about 20 (no lie the spawn was crazy that night) that where all shooting at a friendly tkm (who shortly got tripled) that where in a tightly knit group (bridge in the first big room) i had mixed results though once i was agroed it didn't matter anymore.

I did an entire FS quest camo'd and it never broke, nor did I fire a shot to do the whole quest. I also figured out halfway into another quest that camo would work too.
You figure out which one it would still work on, as they changed the second one so you don't need it anymore.

Caves are a great place to see that NPCs seem to have some roll that gets trigered when you are camoed and very close to them. They can see you with out breaking your camo and jump you. The NPCs in the Jabba theme park agroed me camoed at exactly 64 m.
I got my self used to camo at Fort Tusken.

I have read that camo doesnt work againt themepark NPCs. Do the NPCs in the Sennex cave on Tatooine qualify? Or is all that info old?
I am 4020 in Ranger. /conceal before I enter the cave, get past the first couple but the next 1 always sees me....sometimes camo breaks and sometimes it doesnt...I tried walking and that didnt seem to change anything. I also wear max camo bio-clothes.
TIA

I've had mixed experiences in caves. Just like you said, sometimes I walk right past a bunch of MOBs, getting scout xp and all. But then a few MOBs attack me and don't break my camo. I dunno, I've got nothin' for ya.
