I know many Rangers are also Riflemen/women/wooks, so thought I'd pass along from the Rifles forum that not only is /cover not working, it is contributing to many of the client crashes being experienced on TC-Ep3 at present - not just for you, but for the people around you as well. So, until further notice, PLEASE do not use /cover on TC-Ep3.
Thank you!

Thanks for the notice!
I knew it caused me to crash yesterday, but was wondering why so many others seemed to crash in the same area at the same time.

Hehe, it is revenge for our rightful skill being stolen and given to the riflesentients.

Well, it's crashing us too, so it's not very effective revenge.
Honestly, I'm not upset that riflemen get this skill anymore. Not because I play a riflemen, but because it gives rangers a a good chance to have an even better /conceal ability.
When /cover works properly, it still can be broken at 15m or so, and only remains while /prone. There are many ways for it to be more effective for a ranger... The ability to /conceal in standing position, with slowed movement, perhaps (but much faster than crawling), a 5m meter range for detection, etc..
Also, it was never an exclusive ranger idea. Smugglers, riflemen and BH have suggested ideas for ages.. We just had ideas on how it can be tied to /conceal for rangers. We still have a chance to have this ability in a revamp.

/cover is working on TC4 (Bria)...but not as intended.
You go prone, /cover. You become invisible. Then you stand up, run around, walk among players...and youre still invisible !

That's the same as TC-Ep3 - problem is, even if you don't crash yourself, you are crashing those around you as you enter new server zones. So, once again, PLEASE DO NOT USE /COVER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Thank you!

Cover was working correctly after the last patch (last night?) for me.
I did brake cover once I stood up unlike the night before that when I too could walk around invisable and spook people out by dropping pets on them.

Cover is working much better now. At least, it doesn't make me crash; and it properly gets broken when you stand, get with 15m of a player/NPC, or do a shot other than conceal.
There are still problems with it not actually preventing mobs from knowing where you are (they run straight for you as soon as you fire the first conceal shot), but it seems to work like a charm in PvP.
I encourage folks to go test it out! (And hope that camo will get some similar love in the near future)

as far as it working like a champ in pvp, all you have to do to find the concealed person is look at your combat spam and find out who shot you and the type /target idiot and you can target them and fire away. Now that works like a champ.
