Hehe from Tiggs Trivia:
What is the exact familial relationship of Owen Lars to Luke Skywalker?
That's something we all would like to know ..... 
j/k remember the relationship between Owen and Beru in EPII

Anakin Skywaker's mother married later on, and had I believe two more children. The older of though two was Owen Lars. Therefore, Owen has to be Luke's uncle.
It is a long time since I read up on the EU lore for Starwars, and I mostly picked up bits and peaces from unverified sources, so I could be wrong about this.

it my understanding that shmi skywalker married the lars guy and they had owen lars.
smi is anakins mother, so that makes owen anakins step brother, thus making owen lukes step-uncle(if there is sucha thing)

But, was Owen Shmi's son, or did Cleeg have him from a previous relationship? I think Owen might have said he was Anakin's half brother, though, so that would make Shmi his (owen's) mother, which would then legitimately make Owen Luke's Uncle. Oooohhh....a little 'As the Universe Turns' action.

I don't know, but in regards to this question:
Who had a hit with a disco version of the SW theme in 1977?
I not only knew the answer.. I had the album. (No, I didn't like disco! I was a kid and didn't know any better!)

Previous relationship according to the entry about Cliegg Lars in the starwars.com database (would make sense anyway as owen is at least anakins age if not older from my impressions).

Owen was Anikan's step brother. That would make him Luke's step uncle. Even if it wasn't stated explicitly in EP2, the facts are pretty clear. Owen is certainly not 8 years younger than Anikan (if he's younger at all). Anikan was 8 years old when he left Tatooine, at which time Shmi was still a slave of Watto. There's no way Shmi was Owen's mother.

That and in the book it was explicitly stated that the fact that Cleig had a son (monkey boy... err Owen)was probably a small part of what attracted Shmi to him.
