YES, i am grinding ranger for FS xp....

Before you flame can you answer my question?

What does scout XP cap at if you only get one tree, EX: 4/0/0/0 Ranger, is it worth it to go all they way to Master Ranger? Do they give a much larger Scout XP Cap?

you're less likely to find flames here on the Ranger forums. we play nice here.

at 4000, you'll cap at 1 mllion scout XP

at master, you'll cap at 1.2 million scout XP

up to you if it's worth it.

but remember 2 things:

1) Scout XP only turns into senses XP. This only translates into extra points at luck, persuasion, medical and entertainer stuff. You will be less effective in general than those Jedi who choose to get melee speed, melee accuracy and the defenses lines. Those bonuses will mean a lot more when the FRS comes back. If you fight a similarly templated Jedi with the same damage saber, but they have the FS combat lines, you're going to lose.

2) Ranger is getting a rather large revamp. It is likely that once we get the revamp, we won't use scout XP to level up anymore, meaning that you're grinding will have a deadline, and then you'll be stuck with the really low cap of Master Scout. It's probably more effective to go up combat lines now than to get stuck halfway through using Ranger and then have to do the weapons lines again later. also, they might make scout convert at 30:1 like the others since so many are using Ranger purely as a FS grinding tool.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

ya, flame lol, but can you go back and get more FS trees and drop old ones when ur jedi>

to get FS XP for combat boxes, you have to use regular weapons SP(unarmed, swords, pikes, pistols, rifles or carbines).Jedi XP does not convert at the village. If you're a fully templated Jedi your cap forregular weapons XP will be about 70,000 XP, which will convert to about 2333 FS XP. At that rate, it will take you over 2500 trips to the village to get the 4 best combat-related lines.

So you're faced with a choice: the quick and easy path of using scout XP to get Jedi, but limiting yourself to less useful lines, or taking the longer route of using weapons XP, but being a better Jedi because you picked the skills which would aid your toon in combat. There's no "right" answer here.

I suggest heading over to the FS board if you have more questions about the FS skills and gaining them in a productive fashion. We're happy to help you here, but you'll find that most people who participate on the Ranger boards are not Rangers for FS grinding, and thus are less likely to be able to answer your questions than those who frequent the FS board.

Ok, screw Jedi lol, im gonna grind back up BH and when the ranger revamp happens ill try it out abnd drop carbs, if i dont like it ill take up carbs again

Your going to drop carbs to go ranger when the revamp comes out? Hmm, i dont think you really know that much about the upcoming revamp.

I'm doing the same thing. As a M RangerI unlocked2 boxed of senses in one day. The problemwith sensesis that it has noreal,direct benifit to Jedi. The senses tree realy wont make a Jedi better able to take on a BH or other Jedi, Its just a nice filler............well, luck is a different story. I'm on luck 2 and I've already seen betterloot and morecreditswhen i loot an NPC.

to me its worth it.
