Thread: Is new Ranger good Solo / Hunting?

Just cam back to SWG..and doing command now but might come back to Ranger..Thoughts?

If you're talking about "New Ranger" there isn't much to tell...
Really, the Dev's notes about it are the best thing to go on right now.
Seeing as how most of the Ranger skills that had to do with hunting are now going to Scout... I assume that being Ranger/Scout/Combat Prof. will work about as well as others....

If you are referring to the Revamped Ranger, see my sig 
. Also keep in mind, all of the current Ranger Mods are moving to Scout.
If you are referring to post CU Ranger, one can solo with it just fine.

Hey Calc.good to see you are still around.
Anyway.. I'll need to log in after all the patching and see how the CU changed things. Was a Master Ranger and got the itch to come back as Ranger / Rifleman / CH.

The main problem with ranger post CU is that we are essentially level 54 combatants in level 80 bodies.
we do ok, but it take more tactics and smarts to solo big critters now.
Phenix had a great hunting guide... good tactics, and all that.

As a M Ranger M Rifleman, hunting is alright, cant stand and take it from a 82 or so Rancor, but knee cappin him and running around works. Not really effective PVP though.
