Thread: Anyone looked at the changes for Commando yet
hmmm.. hadn't seen that yet, just read up on the stuff coming out of beta that they have posted. That looks REALLY interesting. Fixing AoE, bumping up grenade damage and stack size, adding a couple new weapons, making specific specials that increase damage or AoE range or give a bonus to attacking droids or buildings (woot!), etc. That might be a fairly interesting profession to pair up with Ranger after both profs are revamped. Seems like it would truly give you almost all the skills that a "real world" commando / ranger / whatever-term-you-prefer would have. Demolitions, stealth, ability to use the big guns when you need to, sneak in, lay traps, pull stuff into the killing field,if you get caught or surprised or have to fight back, lay into them hard with some mighty damage... yah, that might be fun to play.
My little Twi crafter on TC might have to keep the brawler she has just to "survive" for now, and work on some commando skills instead too... that definitely sounds like fun stuff!

I started reading the commando changes yesterday and started channeling Arnold from pedator rising from the muck, opening fire from his ambush position.
Lets not visit the part were he gets his butt kicked.
From what little we know I was thinking a concealed Ranger\Commando opening fire with a command detonated mine, followed up with a AOE flame thrower attack using Charge shot from carbineer to knock down teh enemymight be a fun opening move befoe the Jedi cut me down. ![]()
that would rule. I think the best thing about a template like that would be playing almost like your squad in Star Wars: Republic Commando (which was a great game).

The name is properly just balancing for the really nice name "Overkill Shot ", we can not have the Jedi/BH community complaining that commandos have the specials with better names.
