When hunting for large amounts of hide bone and meat, its kind of annoying to not know how much you have and how much you're going to need to fulfill the next contract.
Here's what you do.
Place the resource stack on one of the toolbar panes, and as you harvest, the stack on the pane will visually update in real time with the amount you have harvested.
Tried this tonight as Oreet and I were killing bugs on Endor.
Ive never seen this before and wanted to share the tip with you all.

wow - this is a very helpful tip!
My tip is that creature resources are affected by density waves just like other resources are. That is, in some areas creatures will be fat and healthy but in others they will be medium size, etc... While there is no way to survey for creature resource density, you can have people in your group take missions in multiple directions and then settle on the direction that is "fat and healthy." I've found that in a group with another mater ranger, scouting first for the "fat and healthy" areas can mean up to 100 or more units extra per kill.

So simple... and yet so ingenious!
What a great idea - I've used the tool bar to track medpacks and such but never thought about using it to count UP in the same way.

Hopefully all the rangers here know this one.
Lairs with a creature name in it are mission lairs and it's considered poaching to take out a mission lair that's not yours. Safe random spawn lairs are "a brambles" and "a pile of rocks" etc.

I was told that that had changed now as i found "a something or others nest" miles away from anywhere on Endor the other day...
It would be good if some-one could confirm this for me

Yeah I am 99% certain that this is no longer true, I have seen named mission lairs in middle of nowhere at times when I am sure planet was almost deserted, and also I have seen them within minutes of a server going back up after restart, which I would have thought would have cleared any old mission lairs. I am also unsure if lairs only actually spawn when the mission holder gets near to the WP.
Maybe worth a question in Corr forum?
